  1. Wouldn't surprise me if you were one of the clowns throwing beer cans at cora and his daughter and managed to damage one of the WS trophies.....
  2. Based on how he hit through the minors and the season he was called up.
  3. I think Sanchez is better than what he showed this year but seriously doubt he'll be a HOF'er.
  4. I'd pass on that. He's way too pull happy and hits into the shift. I do like his leadership ability but at this point he doesn't really offer anything more than Romine who is cheaper and younger.
  5. I knew it was only a matter of time before this rumor would start..... https://nypost.com/2018/10/31/j-t-realmuto-wants-out-so-here-comes-gary-sanchez-swap-talk/
  6. Not really a big fan of this move. I like Gardner and what he has brought to the team over his career but it was time to move on.
  7. That's rich coming from the guy who points out small sample sizes all season. But I did find it strange to treat a manager who just won the World Series like this.... https://nypost.com/2018/10/31/red-sox-fan-arrested-for-pelting-alex-cora-daughter-with-beer/
  8. I saw a card I had as a kid sell at an auction for over $600K, kinda made me want to puke.
  9. Thanks dickhead, it certainly explains it in better detail.
  10. Again, I just see it as way too early until we see who signs who and who gets traded where. Lots of things can happen to change the landscape. But I do agree that the top three reside in the AL.
  11. I was very surprised to see that this was the 4th lowest viewed WS in history, down 25% from last year. Pretty strange considering it was 2 historic teams in large markets. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/25130314/boston-red-sox-los-angeles-dodgers-world-series-ratings-down
  12. I think the bidding war for him would be pretty strong with teams with a lot stronger farms than the sox.
  13. Obviously way too early to really predict anything as we really haven't seen any off season moves yet. And keep in mind that both Keuchel and Morton are free agents for Houston. Setting them as co-favorites without seeing how they fill those holes is very premature in my opinion. Here's the espn way too early power rankings (not that I agree) http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/25088592/ranking-mlb-teams-ahead-2019-offseason
  14. My preference would be Corbin and Morton, but from what I have read it seems more likely Morton stays in Houston. If that be the case, I would rather re-sign Happ. I like CC and his leadership, but my gut tells me Happ has a better shot of providing more quality innings than CC at this point. I think Harper would be a good get. but not at the price he will command. Ditto for Machado. I'd rather see the Yanks pick up Brantley.
  15. I wonder why? It doesn't really make sense with two historic franchises involved, especially with 2 top ten television markets. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/25130314/boston-red-sox-los-angeles-dodgers-world-series-ratings-down
  16. Definitely way too early as we haven't seen any off season moves yet. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/25088592/ranking-mlb-teams-ahead-2019-offseason
  17. I don't know if anyone else followed this but I thought it was pretty cool. Some incredible cards out there. https://30teams30weeks.com/home/about-30-teams-30-weeks/
  18. Why would he retire? Too much money on the table.
  19. Congrats to the sox and their fans on a well deserved championship.
  20. Yeah, but we were catching mahi and wahoo, in here it's mostly yellow bellied perch!
  21. It's like a Yankee fan proclaiming Luke Voight as one of the top HR hitters in their history.
  22. Small sample size......
  23. I think the sox take it in 5, 6 the most. Anybody see the crazy checkerboard uniforms the Dodgers had when they last met the sox in the WS in 1916?
  24. Congrats sox fans on your AL pennant. I was away on a fishing trip for the weekend so I wasn't on the internet. Did Joe West get the ALCS MVP?
