  1. Maybe he said that to help try to drive his price up, it's called negotiating.......
  2. Or that Robertson had no interest in playing for the sox........
  3. That's a dumb statement, if they fly forever, how could there be fewer?
  4. They have also finished in last place several times over the last decade..........
  5. You clearly have no idea what you are babbling about..........
  6. Here's a pretty good read about Sevy written by a buddy of mine. https://lennymelnickfantasysports.com/baseball/yankees/they-hit-it-like-they-knew-it-was-coming/?fbclid=IwAR0-xPgVlD5N_aL7rLKam9_kK7y0kRRw0Q9bLIxxQ2BVDYX0OjyX3Nv4oVc
  7. I call ******** on this. If devers didn't know he needs to improve his defense he's either blind, stupid or both.......
  8. They even chanted it at a patsies super bowl parade several years back. Heck, they even chanted it after the WS this year. But that's mostly pathetic fans like slasher.
  9. Given how he plays with wreckless abandonment while being built like a midget I think he was destined to break down.
  10. certainly possible.
  11. Because they slid ramirez over to cover 2nd.
  12. I didn't s*** on anyone, dewdrop. Merely pointed out that it's sad that a guy making that much was even in position to win that award. One would hope that when you sign a guy to that kind of contract that he doesn't perform so poorly one season to be in the conversation for the award the following season.
  13. It's not about remembering, powerhouses typically don't come in last place last I checked.
  14. Cleveland doesn't need a 3rd baseman
  15. Pretty sad that a guy with a $200M+++ contract gets the comeback player of the year award.
  16. My concerns on Paxton: Fly ball rate last year jumped from 32.7% to 41.1%, more than doubling his HR rate. In an interview on Tuesday, Paxton attributed this to being "distracted". That (IMO) doesn't bode well for someone coming from the obscurity of seattle to the bright lights of Broadway. Last season he had a home ERA of 3.35 with a WHIP of .988 in 14 starts while having a 4.24 ERA and a 1.224 WHIP in the same amount of starts away from the pitcher friendly confines of safeco. I obviously hope I am wrong, but with his inability to stay healthy combined with the above numbers, I would have gone in another direction.
  17. That's a dumb statement as it applies to every pitcher in baseball including Paxton ............
  18. Didn't ask you what was better, I asked if it made you a powerhouse........
  19. I would say the difference is minimal at best.
  20. But it's not just contact with a teammate, it could also be the wall. I would also think the chance of pulling a hamstring or something of the like is more likely to occur sprinting in the OF than at 2nd base.
  21. Does winning a couple of WS while also coming in last place 3 times over that same time period make one a "powerhouse"?
  22. For sure, one of the best all around 3rd basemen the game has ever seen.
  23. At least we've been able to stay out of the basement!!
