  1. I know he is a fan favorite and provided the deadheads with some spark earlier, but Chavis is really in no way ready for this level of pitching. Maybe he can turn it around but for now he's overmatched.
  2. 63 through 4 innings, not bad at all. Could go 7 if efficient in next 2.
  3. Win it for Z. His jaw will heal, but still hurt if they drop a series they should own. BTW, are Marchand and Bergeron suiting up recently. Heinen and Nordstrom may be the two worst puckhandlers and skaters I have ever seen.
  4. Ok, have to compliment Erod for getting out of that problem. A K and a DP were perfect, so on his way to another quality start, but not yet a win. I think the bats will wake up in the 6th.
  5. Albany, Utica, Amsterdam, Canajoharie, Syracuse, Rochester ?? You don't have to identify if you don't want.
  6. As good as the B's looked in Games 1 and 3, they had no clue in #4. Totally outskated and out hustled. It truly looks like a 7 game Cup series.
  7. with 2 on, no outs, time to see if Erod developed cojones in the dugout this time. 2 very cheap OBP contributions.
  8. launch angle my friend. Line drive singles hitters don't get the babes or the runs.
  9. That is a good idea. I'll try that for awhile because at least it would be something new.
  10. Heart of the lineup tees off, hits bullets and cannot get one through. Not the hitter's fault but more of that black cloud following the team around.
  11. If they lay down at bat in the 4th, you may hear something. Eck and OB did say a few things in the Cleveland 14 run game, but then they looked at their paychecks again
  12. Saved money on riding mower blade sharpening
  13. Jeez, aguy who can bunt. Who knew ?? Why would any big league hitter do that ?? Wasn't even a shift on.
  14. Amen to both of you. He does short arm it when challenged. The TGR syndrome combined with DotP is terminal. I bet if he took the SAT his adversity score would be very high.
  15. Every single game it seems the starting pitcher must contribute a Porcello just to make the inferior opponents (strictly on paper) feel better.
  16. I could feel it coming. So tired of the LOB's and failure with RISP by our better hitters.
  17. A guy with 12 AB's on the season takes f***wit deep to score 2, and once again the Sox play from behind.
  18. let's see what the Royals do with a leadoff double. Could get interesting.
  19. It's a wonder we don't play the games under NL rules just to show Brits more options when they get a team.
  20. Only 2 LOB's after getting to second with only one out. Pretty good so far. Can anyone drive the ball in the first 2 innings ? Lots of foul balls off center cut strikes
  21. Erod, 2 outs on 6 pitches ? This game is winnable, subject to further play. 3outs on 10 pitches ?/ Make Erod the closer.
  22. SS, give me guidance here. Been at a local winery sampling since about 2PM . I may just post what I'm really thinking and that won't be fair to some. None of it stat based
  23. You're right, leaving a little on the table each day. Not sure why he is in an extended slump compared to his career numbers.
  24. JDM getting jammed more than Smuckers
  25. Over the last 30 days for Red Sox hitters with 50 AB's or more, the best hitters by (OPS) are no surprise , Bogaerts and Devers @ 1.070 and .958 respectively. The worst by both BA and OPS, Benintendi and Chavis >217/.701 and .219/.664 respectively. Betts is .247/.762 and Martinez at .232/.880.
