  1. Phillips Valdez throws a lot like Weber but just a bit more speed., and more effectively. Sort of a semi-sidearm slinging the ball
  2. Your namesake's grandson is tearing up the Giants opponents so far . I can understand why Mike and Carl wouldn't want him to be in Boston but nice to see tthe genes still working well.
  3. Ryan's real Dad was a travelling saleman specializing in outdoor cooking equipment. After a nasty accident with some lighter fluid, Mrs. weber took up with a real bad guy, named Charlie Kole. he was the one who taught young Ryan to throw the briq-uets up there , sling'em like a baseball
  4. Who quit broadcasting---NESN or MLB.tv ?
  5. Grill me for the real story on Weber
  6. Terrible ball/strike calls
  7. Well I did have Weber's O/Us at 2 HR, 4 runs, 3 innings. Short just one run until he gets someone else out
  8. Chavis cannot get a flyball when they needed it.
  9. One more Vaz bomb would be nice. Apparently not tonight watching strike 3 roll by
  10. And one third horse crap, so what's the other one turd ?
  11. Is this umpire in the same stadium as the pitches because he sure can't see them
  12. Judge bloops a 2 run HR off the Griller
  13. O/U HR's allowed by Weber : 2 O/U runs allowed by Weber: 4 O/U innings pitched By Ryan: 3
  14. Here's some slow breakers in 2020's odd season : JDM .241/.678 ; Devers .192/.568 ; Bogaerts .182/.536 ; Benintendi .095/.464 ; Chavis .154/.368 These guys need to heat up and help out. Peraza is outhitting all but JDM in OPS (.276/.645) Verdugo, Bradley, Moreland and of course, Christian Vazquez are outperforming
  15. No bat discipline, swinging at balls 2 ' outside
  16. That is his cousin Vertigo, which is what some guys playing tonight may have. Actually, this is an excellent game after the O's mess ups. Someone besides Vaz needs to step up with a big bat. And once again, we may be looking at 3-4 innings of relief action
  17. Vaz with a crazy 1.735 OPS, let's add to it
  18. Does Verdugo have the Mexican or Italian flag for his glove ?
  19. Hope he stays healthy enough for the Sox to exercise that 2022 option when they may actually have a starting rotation worth discussing.
  20. Surprised the Sox haven't drafted his grandkids with their obsession about players who can't get on the Disneyland rides yet.
  21. So, two out of three play over their heads. Just joking about size being the difference but the Sox have played a lot of guys closer to the ground
  22. Hell of a catcher with a bat
  23. But he makes up for it with laser like accuracy. He's also too small for the game
  24. Third base is Voodooland this year
  25. Just goofing around while waiting for Perez to regain his composure
