I'll buy them a broom if they ever sweep. Astros coming in tomorrow will make for a challenging series.

Red Sox don't have the worst AL won-lost record, thanks to Detroit and KC, but only the Cincinnati Reds (9-25) are further behind their respective division leaders .

No point in watching the ball go by without taking a nice whack at it.

You know your career is tenuous when Cora PH's Franchy for you. Cordero takes strike three looking. I could have done that personally.

    Adios, amigo

I'm sure there are some extremely advanced analytics that justify Brasier's performance vs cost calculations, ensuring him a spot on the 26 man roster

There was a microcosm of this season. 3 extremely weak outs in response to going down 4 runs
  8. vegasbob
Yeah, most people thing it's f***ing as in f***ing Brasier again !

Interesting that the Rangers bring in a LH pitcher to face the terrible trio of Dalbec, Plawecki and Kike

Hold on now, Ryan B. did strike out the side.

Garcia ands Calhoun have a combined BA of .418, but 3 HR's today
  12. vegasbob
That contribution to the impending loss is a classic. 2 out HR's behind a walk.

Another tough to watch Game 7, especially against the backup goalie.
  14. vegasbob
Those two are a dynamic duo. Dalbec is dead meat in a month or so. Brasier just doesn't have anything strong enough to get the outs

Is Patrice Bergeron a definite for the retired list ?
  16. vegasbob
Nice to get back to a lineup with 4 guys sub Mendoza line and Arroyo at exactly the line, until his next AB.
  17. vegasbob
That may have been the softest line drive in history. The SS actually had to wait on it to reach him.

might be one of the very few times the name Martin Perez and shutout appear in the same sentence. Why does that man's name ring a bell? Figured I could jinx him. Nice hitting by Rafael.

Definitely agree that the Sale signing was a question mark of large proportions. Maybe his current non-baseball, non-disclosed injury came from trying to hit a nail on the head and missing.

How many ways will any Red Sox player reach base today in any manner ? Possibility 1.: None, if the Rangers' Otto throws a perfect game . Other than that, just keep scoring 6 or 7 a game and see the difference. You do realize, we could win again today and still not catch the Orioles.

Low end of the lineup messing up all the bad stats. Behave boys, stay in your lanes
  22. vegasbob
I said Dunning was begging for us to hit him. When franchy rips one, it's time for the showers, Dane
  23. vegasbob
How long did the Rangers 1Bman (cutoff0 hold that ball while watching JD run?
  24. vegasbob
Dunning is just begging the Sox to beat him with a big hit. Let's cooperate

With 20% of the season passing tonight, the regulars , other than Raffy,X,JDM, have about 600+ PA's so far. Call it a full season equivalent. Those 7 guys , including Plawecki, have a total of 8 HR's and about 60 RBI's while batting .200 . This is why we are trailing the Orioles. That and a mixed up bullpen.
