  1. Franchy could do us a favor and let Cimber hit him instead of vice versa Instead he of course K's. Now about 0-last 20
  2. Vaz, Dugo and Bogaerts are the Sox best chance to comeback in this fully winnable game. Let's see if they can do it. The 9th inning doesn't offer much if these 3 can't get it going
  3. Houck asks Cora, " AC what does it take to get a save ?" Alex answers , " Son, our team has to have the lead when the game ends for you to get a save" Tanner: "In other words not going to happen"
  4. I do agree Manoah is a jerk and unprofessional . The Sox had a chance to put him on the ropes early and just couldn't get the key hit with men on base.
  5. If the Sox continue failing to play well in the next week or so, Bloom will find it hard to push for any value in a rental trade like Eovaldi, JDM, even Bogaerts. Hernandez remains on the IL through August 7. Bloom will have little to work with .
  6. That will prove a lot. Here's WTF: Either be able to compete at this level or sit the F down. Too many guys on this roster cannot play effectively at this level. I don't like his mouthy self but do something about, not hitting a batter in the butt
  7. If you don't like Manoah's attitude or pitches, try either hitting them or not watching strike 3 go right past your statuesque stance. Some of our guys are not competitive.
  8. The comment was made earlier that Cora may be a great manager for a mature veteran team with talent but maybe he's not all that for developing young guys into playing smartly and effectively. AC and his coaches don't hit, run, field, throw but they sure should be influencing heavily what happens between the lines. Cora is going to regret his players actions by the end of this season. Maybe also his FO lack of additional talent
  9. And they get 5 out of 6 shutdown innings from Crawford with no apparent run support, other than BD's long fly, solo naturally. It is a weak lineup with Story, Devers, JDM all out , but still a winnable game against a tough pitcher.
  10. So effectively the trade that marked the loss of Betts ( and Price) has resulted in Verdugo who is a regular for us. Wong and Downs have not matured into serious players yet
  11. I thought as long as we hid them in Worcester, they were still a prospect. Ok, I'll call him a player from now on. I assume he's another Bloomian find. He did take strike 3 on a straight fastball down the middle to generate his LOB. To be real honest I don't care who he is or where he has been. I'm only concerned with how long before he is gone
  12. Yolmer Sanchez is another of those undersized Sox prospects who cannot hit a baseball but they got the gold chains flashing in multi-levels Oh, and he's the Z in his name
  13. I assume the Red Sox had no interest in George Springer when he was leaving Houston
  14. Kutter, thanks for focusing on the guy at bat with 2 strikes to shutdown the inning. Springer stealing or not wasn't going to change your life
  15. More than Cordero too. Cordero should ,among others, have no future here
  16. Crawford looks good for two, then goes awry. Yolmer needs to be a bit more alert
  17. Congrats to Bobby Dalbec on getting a ball up and out of the park.
  18. Why is that attempted pitch by Manoah not a ball. His arm came through its full motion. The fact that his heel got caught is not our problem
  19. If .700 OPS is about the league average , we have two guys exceeding that today, Bogaerts and Vazquez
  20. Giving Kutter Crawford some credit for being effective in the first, not showing any reluctance to go after the Jays
  21. Only thing to look for today is how this team responds to a complete beatdown. Do they play a tight , disciplined game with good ABs, baserunning and sound defense ? Or do they display the deer in the headlights look that Duran featured last night. He actually admitted in interview that he should have made the motion of chasing towards the ball once he saw it but Dugo was going to beat him anyway. He said next time , he would take 1 or 2 steps for the optics benefit. If this is the motivational level and attitude of the AAAA'ers on the Sox, the problems are truly deep in the clubhouse, including the manager's office.
  22. Well, Diekman hung a goose egg on them finally.
  23. Still will need to burn the pen for another 11 outs to end this misery. Is that asking too much ?
  24. 54-6 in the last 3 games with divisional challenges on the line tells you a lot about this team. If you don't like getting beat, try playing better
