  1. What would Ted's HR total be if Yawkey had moved the RF dimensions and BPs to mimic Yankmee stadium ? The bull pens are still too far out. The fact the BPs were created there were an attempt to help Williams, but I bet he hit 100 warning track jobs
  2. Forget JDM, it's more like WTM as in Warning Track Martinez. BUT, he is hitting the ball much better this weekend, so it's a work in progress
  3. Seabold did look somewhat terrified out there , Barnes has the same mentality
  4. Feel good with it while they are winning. We would do the same . Cashman has outdone himself with the current crew, but it doesn't last long as in back to backs
  5. I expect Sale to eventually be some relief here, but he won't be ready for 6 innings/100 pitches until we are start August
  6. Glad to see Cora using my theory that the #9 hitter is critical to get a decent OBP and some speed when on base. Duran fits the bill, now needs to get on in the second inning hopefully
  7. Thank you Kutter. There is hope once again in Beantown
  8. Rizzo posting some Story like stats with a .223 BA but .843 OPS, 22 HR's and 50+ rbis. If he was our 1Bman, he would get roasted on his BA by the unwashed masses
  9. Crawford taking one for the team
  10. They are posting the count wrong also
  11. But I respect your speed rounding third
  12. Stupid FOX andf Rosenthal showing that EO has missed 85 games this year, along with Sale and Paxton. This broadcast will be special
  13. Honestly, it will be a win if Crawford can clear the first inning with no runs allowed. Got to get one of these young guys confident out there.
  14. Get a faster plane ! If that's a first time, it won't be the last time. Just eye the green
  15. It may be good or very bad for Bello and Seabold to get their first MLB opportunities in this stretch of tough competition, supported by a unproductive lineup most nights, in front of Fenway crowd and nation with short fuses, especially when getting ripped early by the Yankees. Winckowski at least had a chance to get over the first start jitters against lesser competition. Brayan and Conor 9 who may be injured now) will have to learn from it and use it as motivation to sharpen thier skills. Predictably and with some understanding, against the Yankees they did not look like they had a lot of confidence in their stuff and got short arms instead of challenging hitters. Still amazing how big the leap from AAA to MLB players/pitchers really is.
  16. LOBs, Solo HRs, DPs . All were characteristics of the April-early May losses. Now they are back with a vengeance. As odd as it sounds, last night's game could have been tied up in late innings on multiple occassions with a timely, dare I say "clutch" hit.
  17. Feliz posted 10 outs giving up 1 earned, 2 total, including a bomb. Overall a passable contribution in a truly messed up game
  18. Does the term journeyman thrower ring a bell ? Been around for awhile but no real magic in that glove or throwing arm
  19. Why does Cordero go to right field in lieu of JBJr with a RH pitcher for NYY. I think I know
  20. You couldn't pay enough for some the 50s-60-70s players, all of who maxed out in the $100K-$200K+ range. Williams, Mays, Musial, Mantle, Gibson, Koufax, Drysdale, Snider, 2 Robinsons, etc. , etc.
  21. Next year, it could hit him there and he won't even feel it
  22. Is there any way Vaz could lose one here?
  23. So Devers is done. All around good night
  24. It is actually a crappy job of pitching by Cortes
  25. No, they are about 14 years old. Have to get out of the 9th grade first
