  1. Hernandez's overall lack of production and OBP is one reason JDM and Bogey are low on RBI's this year. Even though the leadoff hitter doesn't lead off every inning, he does always bat in front of your best 2-3 hitters.
  2. Going to call Rob " Reffy" and back him up with Raffy
  3. Dalbec must not be able to see the pitch at all . He is truly clueless
  4. JBJr does the right thing after trying to bunt unsuccessfully. Way better than the K
  5. This Father's Day matchup has the makings of a significant game. Hold on to the lead in the 8th/9th and win a series vs a quality opponent, get a winning record (+1) at home, reward Pivetta for a great effort and win a low scoring game.
  6. Great finish by Nick. Time for some runs vs the Card's pen
  7. Could well be true that statistically, it is better to K than DP because it implies that the team has 1 out or less and a man on in a force situation , so the K can't end the inning, but a DP might. If the K is the better outcome the Sox lineup is well loaded for success. Thanks JD, for adding to the stat base on K's vs DP.
  8. I would pay to watch a sprint race between JDM and Fat Albert.
  9. Not limited to Story by any means, but it seems that we hit a lot of grounders to the right side except when it would help. JDM getting jammed into a DP earlier was in fact disappointing
  10. Not wishing it on him but I suspect Dalbec may be in his farewell tour this season.
  11. If Story had advanced Dugo, Vaz's ball would have scored on a sac fly. I'm going to be slow to become a Story fan.
  12. Pivetta pitching well again, but the Sox continue to sleep at Fenway when batting. Time to bust out now.
  13. On Monday the 13 pitcher rule goes into effect . Sale may actually be coming back in July . Going to be some people moving to make room. Kutter and Winckowski probably better keep their fridges in Worcester fully stocked.
  14. The A's are positioning themselves to fly away from Oakland as did the Chargers from San Diego. It would not be productive to have a strong team on the field, so ownership can blame it on the fans and the City for not supporting the team and a new stadium on the Oakland harbor. Oakland truly sucks as a place to be, kind of like Tampa/St. Pete .
  15. News bulletin just in: Winchowski, in a brilliant move, reduced his ERA from 12.00 to 6.00 after the 3rd inning. At this pace he will be at 4.00 before the end of his start.
  16. I'm sure you could get him an endorsement deal with Door Dash or GrubHub
  17. 32 pitches, 3 walks and a hit , all to score 1 run ? Where's Refsnyder ?
  18. Time for X to bomb Kaprelian, need to get the first inning runs
  19. I hope the trainer slips Winchy a Xanax between innings to calm him down. He did reduce his ERA by 3.00 in one inning
  20. " You can't always get what you want..., but if you try sometime, you just may find, you get what you need ...."
  21. Rays lose 2-0, Jays lose 6-5 to O's. All is well in the Nation tonight
  22. Still the most clear memory of childhood was walking up the ramp from the concourse and upon reaching the top seeing the green of Fenway and the grass and realizing that this was the field of dreams. Seeing #9 play live was the imprimted at that time. He hit 2 @ 3 run HR's that day to beat the Orioles 8-6. Never forget it.
  23. Yankees still leading Rays in the 8th 2-0 and threatening more. I'd rather see the Rays lose at this point so we can close on them
  24. I'll venture, just because we are winning, that Valdez does not get 3 outs
