    23 pitch inning doesn't bode well for a 6 inning effort by Seabold. His pitches do not seem to have a lot of natural movement, pretty straight.

    Seabold showing very little in the first, and Duran doesn't have the arm to throw guys out at the plate. Dugo's mistake in not cutting off the oppo field single shows more poor defensive discipline. Small plays matter in baseball.

    We will all soon know the pending fate of the Red Sox for 2022. The next 14 games are home/away series exclusively against the Rays and Yankees leading into the All Star break . This should be a clear indication of whether the Sox can bury the Rays or compete with NYY.

    The Nation is getting restless. The power guys are slumping, losing to a lesser bunch , a GM whose only purpose is to trade stars for prospects and a manager who lets cheap, ineffective relievers own him due to language compatibility. It has come to a sorry mess with no way out. Why field a team tomorrow when a forfeit would give all 26 a rest day.

    I think Bloom will have a huge PR problem if they remain in contention for a WC slot if he tries to sell much . If they totally collapse in july, then look out below, they are big sellers. As many here have stated, the playoffs are a crapshoot where a lower ranked team can get hot and win it all from the WC position. But, I will contend that in now way is this team a championship caliber group. They need the same fixes that existed at ST time .

    Despite the crappy defense, our starter has kept the team in the game and made it very winnable. The hitters have failed last night ( 3 of 5 runs on one hit) and are failing tonight. Get up and turn this game around. Do not lose this series against the Cub bullpen.

    Winckowski seems to be showing that he could compete for a back end starting role in 2023. He'll get bumped in '22 if Eovaldi, Sale and Whitlock ever heal or if Paxton gets on a mound. Or for '22 you could put in in the BP to replace the soon to be DFA'ed Robles

    I doubt either will do it. The A-S break would be the perfect time to do so to allow for any soreness. Sale will not on the theory that he's contrary anyway and they can pitch around him in late September. it's always Chris first, last and always.

    9 walks and an HBP gets you down every time . Errors are called "extra " outs , which you can't afford but BBs and HBPs are 95% as good as singles Make it 10 walks in 6 1/3rd. SMH

    It's one thing to get frustrated and abusive on web threads like this, but how do you live , work and travel with guys like Cora and the coaches do, when you see actually how incompetent they are at their trade ? A guy like Varitek should have serious ulcers by now
