  1. One comment on the shift. The Sox were in an extreme infield shift against LH hitting Lowe with Devers close to second base. Davis, a LH pitcher is throwing to Vaz's target outside and Lowe hits a fly to left. If he had hit a ground ball it would have been qa single, 2 on no out. The shift in that situation and pitching set up was not brilliant.
  2. Think of the next two weeks as if the worst thing that could happen would be 0-14. Then every win, if any, is a plus.
  3. Well, the Nantucket sleigh ride portion of the schedule starts today with not enough men in the longboat. Naturally Chris Sale could not overcome his numerous maladies quick enough to actually be of use to this team by now. Broke a rib in February , that's March, April, May, June ++.
  4. After the A-S break, all remaining July games are at Fenway with Toronto, Cleveland and the Brewers. Then the August 2nd trade deadline will be on top of Chaim Bloom to get some value out of the 40 man roster, plugging a couple openings, including 1B and another BP arm.
  5. Much needed win and way harder than it should have been, but a rookie starter and the infamous bullpen prevailed over 11 innings. The hitters not so much, but wait until tomorrow when the 14 day race for the East really begins.
  6. Scoring on errors, who knew you didn't have to hit
  7. f*** Dalbec, what could he be possibly thinking or seeing. Goodbye, soon I hope
  8. Strahm gets a K and 2 bouncers to him. Oh yeah a 450' bomb to tie the game.
  9. Part of what you get and lay on the bullpen guys is the failure of the hitters to actually participate in the game by scoring runs. Lots of K's and LOB's today, and all weekend
  10. Bullpen ******** one more time
  11. One homerun by Boston ( first pitch Friday night) in a hitter's park . 8 runs total in 26 innings
  12. Arroyo slugging, making the pending trade of Bogaerts a no brainer
  13. One thing i do like about Dalbec is that he knows immediately after the ball passes by that it was strike 3. No hesitation to go grab some pine
  14. They Sox had to send a cab to get Trevor and JDM out of the bar on Clark St.
  15. Cordero's K pitch was way out of the zone, calls that Seabold or Schreiber couldn't get. Chumps will f*** over rookies just for fun
  16. Sure hope Story wasn't drinking heavily or cheating on the postgame spread early . Need for him to homer when he gets up in the 9th
  17. Schreiber will pitch count out of effectiveness if he doesn't get a DP on Happ.
  18. Hirokazu Sawamura-- wonder if his nickname in the clubhouse is Hero ( for Hiro) or Kazoo ?
  19. Saw-job gets it done and now he is done, but still 9 outs to go in the endless game. Sox will need 4 more runs to secure this one.
  20. Another feature of a power offense
  21. Can someone break this game open ? Yes, that includes you Bogey, because it wasn't Raffy
  22. Duran works the AB and puts the ball in play. Good things can happen on balls in play , except DPs
  23. Red, we have 13 more outs to get. Hansel will get two of them , after that look out
  24. It could have a subtitle : "L-O-B" Exec non-Producers #3/#4 hitters
