Just for grins, AC, do not lineup O'Neill and Devers back to back . Both are having problems . In last 3, Raffy 1 for 10 with 5 Ks, O'neill 1 for 10, 6 K's. I give Devers much credit for waiving off the A-S game in order to rest his left shoulder. It may be hurting right now. But until he learns to release his left hand on his follow though, he will continue to have chronic shoulder pain.

Surely hoping the Sox don't blow this series vs a WC contending opponent , especially while NYY and Balt O's are playing each other. One or the other of those 2 is guaranteed to lose every night. A sweep of KC would have been exceptional, probably not realistic

Criswell eats up 6 full innings which you could say was his job tonight. No hitting support to speak of, a costly error ( aren't they all?) and a number of 2 out hits surrendered. The benefit of Criswell types over a BP Opener game is the 6 innings and probably only 2 guys out of the pen , instead of 4 or 5.

It would help if O'Neill actually contributed. He is 1 for last 9, with 6 K's. Of his 16 total HR's ( for 31` rbi's) , 9 came in March/April. His OPS is .851 but somehow not feeling it.

Looking at the schedule after the A-S break, there are 21 series, usually but not always 3 games, with 11 of those vs team at or above .500. If you add in TB Rays who are 46-47, then 13 of 21 series will feature teams at .500 or above. The not quite "second half" starts with a western roadtrip with 3 vs Dodgers, then 3 vs Rockies . That trip lets Breslow scout our favorite trading partner in person, or was Freidman just Bloom's mentor ?

Walks the #9 hitter twice so far. Lucky they didn't drop a bomb on him with the sacks full. The walk coming after 2 straight 2 out hits

Too bad Criswell didn't pitch for WooSox last night. Too bad he gets to throw in Fenway tonight.

They just won their last 3

The joke is on us. We are without Grissom, and he doesn't give a damn.

You make up more s*** than some of the REAL pros here. Real Deal, not you bubba

There was a reason Winckowski went back to Worcester. Cannot throw strikes when needed. Booser may be back soon to swap places with Josh.

Max, you keep using that one series with the White Sox to rationalize your entire baseball philosophy. Would you trade rosters with the "equal" A'S ?

Once again 2 out pitching bites Pivetta for a run. A's try to give the game back but no such luck, Raffy

Gonzales needs to pick up his game too

I keep telling you it's AAAA because they are playing in the Major Leagues , even though they are AAA talent, most of them. Wouldn't mind having Rooker in lieu of O'Neill

Short fat bodies do not run all that well. Westbrook was not even to 3rd base when the throw started from LCF
  17. vegasbob
Did Hudson send Westbrook on that one ??? Pretty poor decision and a rally killer. There was no way.

6 RH batters vs a LH pitcher at Fenway, hmmmm. Still with a losing record at home.
  19. vegasbob
    2 out pitching: it's a rare skill. like 2 out RBI's
  20. vegasbob
Throw an F'ing strike, jerk. That's what they usually respond to better
  21. vegasbob
Here's the problem with complimenting Sox players--they quickly turn into pumpkins. Pivetta huffing and puffing to get out of 2 out , bases loaded trouble
  22. vegasbob
Nick P looking sharp through 2. Against the A's keep throwing breaking ball strikes and enjoy quick innings. Get 7 pitched and save a BP arm, Nick.

looks like a LoBster dinner at the Fenway. CB didn't too bad in the first, pretty clean calls.
  24. vegasbob
CB Bucknor behind the plate tonight. Be ready for some exciting calls on Balls/Strikes

Now i have a new question, exactly what question is Trey W the answer to ? That was a poor intro buddy
