  1. Another crap throw by Devers , saved by our new 1B stud, Yu
  2. Would it have been a strike if he took it ? Didn't watch it that closely
  3. Who knew Chang was a 1Bman?
  4. LOBsters back in season. From recent observations, pulling Casas to sub Refsnyder vs a LH'er may be a mathematical probability but in real time application, sucks
  5. Wink saves the Sox, but still playing from behind as usual recently
  6. Bernandino had a decent run earlier as the starter but has slipped into the bullpen roulette mode last few games . 21 pitches and one out won't get it done. He may be edging close to the demotion or DFA list
  7. Turner's bullet to RF keeps the line moving. What can Devers do now to get some runs? Try a 3 run jack to tie it. Great 2 strike hitting
  8. I did pick up on your point and should have acknowledged it. Enjoy your stuff .
  9. Record is 9-9 since A-S break and trending the wrong way today. Pretty much a .500+- team all year . Bloom & Co. gambling again on the upside of the returning guys to pick them up. I hope it happens that way, but August has not recently been kind. Sort of pushes pie in the FO's face.
  10. Yeah, true, and the Red Sox won the WS in '04, '07' ,'13, and '18. They should live in the present not the past
  11. 4 consecutive 2 out hits by BJ's. Pivetta digging that hole .
  12. Devers makes a good stop and then hits Springer on way to first . Rafael's game is not good right now Springer eventually scores on Kirk's double Devers fail to pick up a roller, probably couldn't get the runner anyway
  13. Last 30 games , 12 rbis , slashing .194/.636, 40% K rate. Useless upon his return Those are Kike type numbers. Arroyo hit better
  14. Could it be that there is a negative attitude arising from Verdugo starting with his A-S snub, followed by the slump ? O'Brien says his absence from lineup is not an injury
  15. Schreiber continues the Sox tradition of not fielding the position
  16. I think it is clear from the last couple games that Justin Turner is a key factor in keeping this lineup successful. Hope he is back shortly . This team may need some more veteran influences to set examples for the young guys.
  17. Chang restores hope with a nice long blast. Now a GS will take the lead.
  18. Reading the label and observing Manfred's autograph
  19. A realistic assessment of the future of this team. It is fairly obvious the Ownership and FO are content to build very slowly through the farm and castoff system waiting for some of their youngsters to become dominant. They lkike being underdogs because once in a while the team will rip off 5 or 6 wins in a row and keep the fans frothing with excitement.
  20. Not picking on or arguing your posts, but does everyone realize that as soon as we get to October 2nd , there will be 162 games left to work out our kinks.
  21. A steaming pile of fresh horseshit
  22. LLovera is an impressive sort
  23. Therefore, Fire Bloom ! That's why it is an extensive thread of its own. If there was the right mix of younger controllable AAA'ers or MLb'ers on a loaded team, I imagine Bloom might have gone for it. Bloom declared the team "underdogs" without acknowledging his role in making that true.
  24. Has Connor Wong for all his other positive attributes ever actually hit a slider away ? But he will chase them all day. keep the bat on your shoulder Connor until it is a FB count.
  25. We should have traded Paxton, Duvall and Arroyo. I imagine there was close to no market nor value in any of them. Wisely Bloom kept them.
