  1. Apologies for misreading the reference to Duvall.
  2. Nah, Moon was spoofing you
  3. For once, you are MLB wrong, Moon. Verdugo is hitting .336 OPS in last 7, and .499 in last 15.
  4. Thanks to Refsnyder for converting Casas's welcome triple. Need at least 2 more now
  5. Perhaps the A-S snub is playing with his mind/motivation.
  6. Dugo is an emotional player and when he gets down, he appears to lose all enthusiasm, which is so evident when he is going well.; Not happening for him now. Fans have similar reactions I also think the RS are an unlucky team not getting a fair share of breaks going their way. Don't think you can quantify that but they do not look good right now, after the previous mini-streak of wins.
  7. Verdugo's slumping is getting worse
  8. Who positioned Chang.? The shifted concept, within current rules, cost them a run there. The passed ball was a tough bounce
  9. Looking better once he decided to just K the Mets vs putting the ball in play. Saved the 1 run differential
  10. Let's see a pickoff of your baserunner and another error ( ruled a hit) in the infield. when does the comeback start ? I'll wait
  11. Nice asleep at the base by Casas.
  12. I often contend that Sox batters come out of the dugout down 2 strikes. Verdugo is there , resuming at 1-2
  13. I see Bello is now on the paternity list, hopefully for a just a few days ( his normal interval). Isn't this the 3rd paternity list of the year. One aspect of MLB orientation should be how to time your babies for the late October- February cycle of births.
  14. Back to the pen for the continuation game, then Paxton in the night game. Today could be a big swing ( and miss ?) day. 2 wins, 2 losses or a kiss your sister).
  15. usually if the bot5tom of the lineup gets a few hits, the team prospers. Chang and Wong have 66.6666% of tonight's hits to date but no one joining them, ex Duran. Verdugo is in the midst of a bad 15 game+ stretch batting .516 OPS.
  16. Wonder if it is matchups , or is Paxton not quite right physically ?
  17. Sox go 3-3 vs sub.500 teams with Paxton and Bello below par efforts. That's a checkmark in the possible seller column. Time to go to Fenway and get ready for Mets
  18. The Sox will get one last bite t the apple. Not exactly encouraging. Dugo through Chang/Casas are 1 for 11.
  19. A little surprised Devers is back in. Thought AC may save him for Mets except for a PH, if needed today. Turner did take a beating at 3B physically last night. So AC runs the 38 year old right back at 1B. Is Bloom showcasing him or just trying to win? If winning was the goal , then why is KIKE in and Duran out ? Too many OF'ers, and someone has to play 2B.
  20. Yes, it takes you at least 3 games played to get back over .500, so it is no longer early.
  21. Today's game becomes essential, yesterday's opportunity with everyone else losing was a miss. Keep winning series and the cumulative effect will be a WC. Is Devers out again ? Probably so he is fully available for Mets on Friday. Bello needs to just shut these A's down early and often.
  22. Shut out by A's. Stuff happens
  23. Yankees lose, so Sox can make it a reverse sweep for the Division
  24. Note that tomorrow's game is early. 3:35 EDT
  25. In Williams day they never went further west than St Louis, Chicago, K.C.
