Situations like this are when you really appreciate the contributions of Vaughn Grissom. I plan to cheerlead him through the rest of the season. Not that he is a SS in any event but could be useful in reorganizing the infield. Of course 21 year old Marcello Mayer realistically needs all year at AA/AAA before he might be a factor. By that time Story will be back in Storyland.

You can't stop a competitor but it's a shame Story incurred the injury on an inconsequential single by Trout. What date did Duvalll effectively end his season last year, next week ?

He said he liked his family better than baseball. Immediately became a negative factor. The real issue will be if he can play 125+ games for the first time in his Angels 4 year career. Most he has played 4 seasons, not counting this one, into a 7 year deal is 58.

Rendon is currently 0-19 plus 1 BB to open his year. They hate him here

Opening Day ceremonies at the Big A in Anaheim. Had to introduce everyone including clubhouse men, trainers and batboys, plus the real team. I'm sure the Red Sox will do similar at Fenway complete with earthquake and snowball fight next week.
