    The Yankees are out! They couldn't get it done against the same Astros team the Sox beat in 5 games last year. Just weren't good enough! As a sports legend Ricky Bobby said, "If you ain't first, you're LAST!"

    Trade him now for all you can get. He is not re-signing with Boston.

    I would go back to the 2013 draft and draft Aaron Judge or Cody Bellinger with the #7 overall pick instead of Trey Ball. Thank you Ben for that wasted pick!

    At least we have the Pats, Bruins and Celtics to get us by until next baseball season.

    At least the Cubs are out. Heading to St. Louis to watch some playoff baseball. Hope the new GM can right the ship but with the mandate to cut payroll its going to be tough unless Sale, Price and Eovaldi can pitch like they are paid. Also need a closer and 3 more good arms in the bullpen.

    If I ever see Chris Owing or Gorky Hernandez in a Sox uniform again I am going to throw up. They both suck.

    Vaz didn't give up 2 hits. Barnes can't get a 1-2-3 inning to save his butt.

    Barnes blows it again. They need to get rid of him too. He sucks.

    If Barnes gives up the lead here it would be typical of him.

    He had a good year. Not great. Not worth over 30 million a year but he probably will get it.

    E-Rod likely not to get his 20th win because the Sox can't score with bases loaded and no outs. Story of this pathetic season.

    Betts, Price, Marco and JBJ for Heywood and Russell? That would be a horrible deal. Heyward is not worth anything close to what he is getting. That's the type of contract the Red Sox are trying to get out of. Russell is a wife beater. No way they want that guy.

    No comeback today or a 20-0 win tomorrow is going to prevent a lost season. This season was a loss from day 1. A totally unprepared and unmotivated team that was never really in it. A few guys (Bogie, Devers, E-Rod, Workman and JD(to some extent) had good to great seasons) but most everybody else was bad.

    My brother, a Cubs and Red Sox fan just told me the Chicago talk radio was discussing a possible trade: Kris Bryant, Jose Quintana and Albert Almora Jr. for Mookie, Price and JBJ. Would you do it? I think I would. I hate Price and his high salary, JBJ can't hit and Betts is gone after next year. Bryant is not a FA until after 2021 and Almora is a good fielding CF making a lot less than JBJ. Quintana has a reasonable contract and doesn't get hurt like Price.

    So glad Theo said he is not coming back. He just got done trading Gleyber Torres, Eloy Jimenez and Jorge Soler. 113 home runs combined this year. He also signed Carl Crawford, traded Anthony Rizzo, signed Heyward, Darvish, Edwin Jackson, Mike Cameron to bad contracts. Yes he did a lot of good things but he is not the genius everyone makes him out to be. He makes plenty of mistakes just like the average GM. Sox don't need to beg him to come back.

    Gorky's and Owings hitting .240............TOGETHER.

    They both suck and will never be of use to the Sox. I'd rather they call up two guys from AAA that would otherwise never have a chance to be in the bigs.

    He and Gorkys have no business being on this team. I'd much rather they give some AAA guy a few ABs in the bigs.
