  1. You mean like you did after the Sox beat the Yankees in the playoffs last year? I don't have to worry about hiding because the Yankees aren't going to be winning anything for a long time. Chokers!
  2. Yeah, its been 10 years since they won anything. What a drought. They need to do something to keep their pathetic fans happy. They still won't win, with Cole. Houston had a better team the last two years, had Cole, and didn't win.
  3. Cole=Ed Whitson=Kevin Brown=Sonny Gray
  4. Just read where the Sox are interested in Porcello. I like him but he would have to take a huge pay cut to come back. He loves pitching in Boston and answers the bell each time. More than I can say for Price.
  5. At least in a semi-rebuild, the Sox will win as many WS titles in the next 3 years as the Skankees: 0
  6. I would like all but JDM trade. The Sox need his bat and attitude.
  7. They don't have to win the AL East in order to be a contender and/or World Series winner. Seems to me that the Skankees won the division in 2004. I don't see a world series ring on their fingers from that year.
  8. Look in the mirror pal.
  9. Tanaka: done, Paxton: Sucks, Severino: hurt, German: hurt, Clemens: retired,
  10. You're joking, right? What other good starter do they have? Plus, who knows if Cole can pitch in NY? In addition, they don't have him yet. Boras may just be using them to get a bigger contract from a team he really wants to go to.
  11. If he can trade Price and not eat too much money, great. Trading J.D.M. would be stupid. The Sox have to have his bat in the middle of the order or they are going nowhere.
  12. Lots of All-Stars in that list plus many other good players. Rule 5 draft is nothing to sneeze at.
  13. Jose Bautista, Bobby Bonilla, Paul Blair, Jody Davis, Darrell Evans, Willie Henandez, Dave Hollins, Mike Morgan, Ryan Pressly, Bip Roberts, Fernado Vina, Cecil Cooper, Scott Posednik, Jay Gibbons, Elrod Hendricks, Bobby Knoop, Shane Mack, John Wetteland, R.A. Dickey, Mitch Williams, Jeff Nelson, Manny Trillo.
  14. Josh Fields had some success after Houston took him from the Sox in 2012 Rule 5 draft. 6 pretty good seasons as hard throwing reliever. Better than a lot of guys the Sox had in their pen over that time.
  15. He had 6 seasons with an E.R.A. below 3 and he saved 32 games one season, 29 another and 22 another. Not too bad for a Rule 5 guy. Most teams would want a guy like that. He threw hard in his prime.
  16. Former Rule 5 players: Johan Santana, Josh Hamilton, Shane Victorino, Dan Uggla, Darwin Gonzalez, Joakim Soria, George Bell, Odubel Herrera, Hector Rondon, Matt Mantei, Darren O'Day.
  17. I know they won't do it because of his past, but the guy out there with the most talent who can play 2B, SS and 3B is Addison Russell. He is only 25 and can be an all star. Someone is going to give him a chance. They should also pursue Blake Treinen and see if they can get him right.
  18. Hate to see the Red Sox lose all that offense. Its hard to find good hitting catchers like Sandy.
  19. Sox aren't getting a SP in free agency unless he is is cheap. If they wanted someone for 10 million a year they could bring back Porcello.
  20. He can pitch batting practice for some other team.
  21. We finally get to see a picture of you Jax. Nice hair.
  22. Yankees will pay. They didn't want him the last two years. They would not have played him even if he was healthy. They didn't care where he rehabbed. What a bunch of liars.
  23. Exactly what you are.
  24. Do the Yankees think Scott Boras is going to stand for this? Or do they think he will steer future players to them if they pull this crap? They are just trying to cheap out because Ellsbury was a Fosbury Flop and they have egg on their face. Cheapskates. They can always raise ticket prices to pay for it.
