The only thing I remember about 2018 is the Red Sox dominating the regular season, winning the AL East, kicking the Yankees ass and stomping the Dodgers. One of the best teams ever!!!!
Sox signed J.D. Martinez on February 26th, 2018. Plenty of time to make moves. Market is slow. Most teams are sitting back. Pandemic took a lot of cash from teams. There won't be large crazy contracts this time around. Patience.
It will help them get good again and it should ensure that Bogaerts and Devers remain with the Red Sox. They both love AC. That is important to the future of the team.
At least we know that the Sox were not trying to win this year. They were trying to get under the luxury tax and get some good draft picks to build with. The Yankees were trying to win and couldn't do it again. It doesn't make the Sox season any better but at least there will be no parade in NYC.
Jared Carrabis: "The best part about tonight is that whenever you ask a Yankee fan if they remember that time Aroldis Chapman gave up a home run in the postseason to end New York's season, they have to ask which time."
All Yankee players and staff will get participation ribbons for this year! Congratulations on your success. It has to be gratifying to tie for 5th place.
Didn't stay up late last night so I didn't know the outcome of the Yankees/Rays game until I woke up this morning. What a wonderful morning it is. The Yankees lose again and the World Series drought continues for them. I am sure that you know who will have an excuse.
