  1. Except for EO and Houck, all the starters give me a severe headache.
  2. Not a night not to have Devers available.
  3. The SOX aren't where they are because of starting pitching. Thank you, Capt Obvious
  4. Bichette is about as smart as he looks.
  5. The Rays have attractive prospects and are way under the salary cap. And they're definitely a contender. And not far from DC.
  6. Btw, when it comes to Scherzer, don't exclude the Rays.
  7. Packing up and moving to the west coast is not that big a deal for a person making 300 million dollars.
  8. While Bloom is kicking tires, the Astros have acquired 2 top relievers in the last two days, Graveman from Seattle and Yimi Garcia from Miami.
  9. Although the Rays losing is very beneficial to the SOX, I still immensely enjoyed watching the Rays score 4 runs in the 1st against 'big game' Cole.
  10. Good info. No point in breaking up a good thing.
  11. Agree. The Jays have a lot of work to do with their BP, and that will be, imho, their top priority. Of course, as a SOX fan, I hope whatever they do fails miserably.
  12. Maybe Plawecki catches tonight because he's 2-5 against Ryu where as VAZ is 1-9.
  13. With Ray and Ryu the Jays have two quality starters. If they can add some more good arms to their pitching corp, they're gonna be a tough team to deal with in the foreseeable future.
  14. Seeing that Houck and Sale both pitch with similar arm angles, I'm thinking Sale would be a perfect tutor for Houck.
  15. I don't know, but I'm guessing the Nats will get better offers than that.
  16. In fact, Toronto, who are 10.5 games behind the SOX and barely over .500, have almost a 20 run higher differential. Obviously, a meaningless stat. But somewhere in Fenway Park the ghost of Rod Serling is whistling the theme to The Twilight Zone.
  17. Looking at the MLB standings, run differential aligns with the top teams in every division except for the AL East and the NL Least.
  18. Well, if the Yankems win, the SOX have a 2.5 game lead. So, there's that.
  19. Also, I have no clue why anyone would think Garrett would be helpful in the BP. To get rid of him the SOX would probably have to add a prospect in the deal, even if it's for a bag of balls and still the SOX would probably have to eat part of his contract.
  20. Ya know, Moon, with these goofy 7 inning games the SOX could have done a BP start in the 1st game. Could of, should of; obviously it doesn't matter now.
  21. If he could just transfer that 'D' to his bat.
  22. He actually made an equally good deefensive play at 1st earlier when Houck was pitching.
  23. Good job, Moon, but in Thunder's defense, he really didn't have much of a chance with Richards starting a 7 inning game. And especially against the Jays' best pitcher.
  24. Bob Gibson hit a lot of batters, mostly intentionally, but very few ever charged the mound because they would get hurt even worse if they did.
