True, but pitching being the elephant in the room, trading away one of the best closers in the league creates a bigger pitching problem.

If Bloom wants a good starting pitcher, he's going to have to trade one of the top 4 hitters. The only one that makes sense is JD.

No reason to take Weber out. Let him work on some pitches while he's out there. Btw, might be a good idea to provide Weber and most of our starters with an L-Screen to prevent injuries.

The 'too many teams" also applies to football, hockey, and basketball. Sadly, the NHL is adding another team in Seattle next season.
