  1. To avoid controversy, I called it 'timely.'
  2. VAZ with a timely 2 out hit.
  3. Renfroe proving twice tonight where a K would have been preferable than making contact.
  4. I agree. You don't gamble with the SOX BP.
  5. When he left the SOX, he left my concern.
  6. Houck has definitely taken the smiles off the cocky F'ing Rays' faces.
  7. 3 solos and 1 3-run homer. The SOX are proficient at both.
  8. Jim Dandy! I haven't posted that in a while.
  9. I don't know how much the Rays are paying Wisler, but I know Wisler's Mother is worth a lot of money.
  10. The SOX this season blew one axiom out of the water. The axiom being that to make the PO's a team needs good starting pitching and good defense.
  11. Houck and Whitlock are both shining lights for the pitching future of the SOX.
  12. Dugo is showing that he's gonna be a special SOX player going forward.
  13. If you can make yourself believe that Sale will be the old Sale next season, maybe it will make the off season easier to take.
  14. Compared to Sale, E-rod wasn't that bad last night.
  15. Well, the SOX did beat the Yankems. Better than nothing.
  16. Two runs; should have been more, but it's infinitely more than they scored last night.
  17. Speaking of baseball announcers, Orsillo is doing the Braves/Brewers game today. I like Orsillo.
  18. Ned Martin, imho, was also very good.
  19. He was in a class by himself. The man had a memory like a computer.
  20. The Bogey/Jeter comparison is spot on. Both had good hands and limited range and both, obviously, were/are very good hitters.
  21. Social distancing has never been a problem at the Trop since day one.
  22. I thought 8 PM starts during the week were because it's prime time and the price of commercials are higher. Never exclude the money angle.
  23. Baz being a RH pitcher may have Cora putting Schwarber at lead-off tonight. If JD returns to the line-up, most likely Schwarber will play 1st base. One note of concern for the SOX is that they've never faced Baz and usually that favors the pitcher. But 'usually' doesn't mean 'always' so who knows?
