Obviously Cora has no faith in his BP and rightly so, except for maybe a couple of guys. So, of course, Cora will extend EO and Pivetta as much as possible. The other 3 starters would be successful if they could just last 5 innings.
D. Reyes (0-0) vs J. Winckowski (0-0)
Winckowski making his major league debut because of the SOX 10th game in 9 days. He does have 'win' in his last name so that's encouraging. His WHIP at Triple A is a minuscule 0.853.
The SOX BP, thanks to EO, should be better than last night. HOPEFULLY!
Go SOX!
When someone brings a baby to a SOX game, are there only certain seating locations one is allowed to sit? Or is it just plain stupid to bring a baby to a baseball game?
Well, based on Cobb's history, it's very difficult for him to spike someone when he hits a HR. Spiking someone was the part of the game he probably considered fun.
Thanks; that answers my opposite field question. Btw, I read where Ted visited a little boy at the hospital. The boy wouldn't let go of Ted's hand, so Ted asked the nurse if she could find him a cot and Ted stayed the night with the boy.
Ted Williams never believed that batters should hit to the opposite field. He believed a batter should pull everything. With that being said, I would be curious knowing how many HR's Ted hit to the opposite field, if any.
