    I know nothing about Story's career in Colorado, but I can't help but wonder if he's one of these hitters who gets hot for a while and then goes into a prolonged cold streak. The SOX have had players like that.

    I diasgree; he's improved remarkably this season defensively. I believe that's only his 2nd throwing error of the season, although both were costly.

    Of course he's no Brooks Robinson defensively, but I was referring to him only having, I believe, only 4 or 5 errors this season before that damaging error.

    I didn't realize that Votto will be 39 in September. He appears, imho, to be HOF material.

    I've seen many pitchers so far this season, but this Castillo has the best natural stuff I've seen. Not blaming the SOX offense because this guy is just plain nasty.

    Of course, I'm sure Old Red knew at the time that the extension was a mistake.

    At the time Barnes' had made the all-star team. How the hell was Bloom supposed to know that Barnes would turn into a bum?

    I would definitely agree with that. And it's been like that for years. Developing pitching in the SOX farm will be Bloom's biggest challenge.
