Bergy didn't deserve to have his career end in such a s***** way, but as Clint Eastwood replied in the movie UNFORGIVEN "deserves has nothing to do with it."
How about the SOX 7th game loss to the Yankems in 2003 or there 6th game loss to the Mets in '86. I believe both of them qualify as worst single game losses.
The pressure in this series was on the BRUINS and they couldn't handle it. Florida shouldn't have even qualified for the PO's so no pressure on them and that's how they played. Bergy playing injured didn't help.
The BRUINS didn't have any slumps in the regular season; in fact, they never lost 3 games in a row during the regular season. It appears they just picked the wrong time for a slump.
