As bad as Pivetta was today he was still Cora's best option considering who was available in the pen. If Nick hadn't already thrown 100 pitches after 5, he would have started the 6th.
I believe the explanation for the SOX only being 4 games under .500 is that they've been successful against the AL Central and AL West where the majority of the teams are truly terrible.
When one looks at the SOX starting staff, the BP as a whole, and the on and (more often) off offense, it's amazing this team is only 4 games under .500 at this point.

I have to attend a birthday party, so I won't be around to insert my insightful posts.
Let's sweep these clowns from Tampa.
Go SOX!
A movie should be made about Al Kooper. One of the more interesting characters in Rock music. He had his hands in a lot of things that turned out great. I met him back in 2000 with some drinking mates. Al was on this stage playing a piano; no one else was there, so we enjoyed his music and later we shot the shite with him. A really nice guy.
IMHO, your taste in music is top-notch and I really like every artist on that list. I just received Mountain Goats' newest release BLEED OUT in the mail a couple of days ago. Like all their releases it's excellent. The only cd I have by Mecca Normal is SITTING ON SNAPS from 1995. MAGGOT BRAIN is a stone cold classic. As for G-Love I have the cd FIXIN' TO DIE from 2010.
That's a great list, MOON, but nothing obscure. I have about 16 cd's by a band called KING GIZZARD AND THE LIZARD WIZARD. They debuted in 2010. They've been getting less obscure in recent years, but still obscure to many.
Tull is a good argument, but Rare Earth? gimme a break. Other then one huge hit and being the first hit-making white band to be signed by Motown, I think Rare Earth is really a stretch.
Not sure about Jethro Tull being a far far far greater omission. Tull was a damned good progressive rock band and PR&TR was a damned good straight ahead R&R band. They were from two different eras. They both should have been inducted a long time ago. It took DEEP PURPLE forever to get inducted. Then they waited until Lou Reed was dead before they inducted him. Dumb bastards.
