  1. Might help explain why Buchholz was the last good SOX starter to come thru the SOX farm.
  2. No one on the SOX has ever faced Lively. OTOH, most of the Reds have faced Bello.
  3. Is this the game where Devers becomes Devers again? Stay tuned.
  4. Devers' OPS didn't drop from way over .900 to under .800 in just a week.
  5. Just finished watching this game which I recorded earlier. Two evenly matched teams. By evenly matched I mean neither team should make the PO's and both teams will probably finish a few games over .500. Btw, the Devers' Show is getting tiresome, but it has been renewed for 10 more seasons.
  6. Excellent pitching by all involved.
  7. I can only judge a player's ability by what I see with my eyes. These WAR numbers established by nerds who never played the game mean nothing to me.
  8. When Cora lost that first challenge, he has no challenges remaining.
  9. Duran has definitely established himself defensively as an very good CF. Amazing improvement from last year.
  10. A call like that sends a strong message to Duran that Cora doesn't believe he'll drive the runner in.
  11. Watching the game last night on the Arizona feed, I was informed that when Casas makes his 1st appearance at the plate, he notifies the ump that part of his approach at the plate is to call out whether the pitch is high, low, inside or outside. He makes it clear he's not disrespecting the ump; it's just a habit he has every time he's at the plate.
  12. After being manhandled by the previous two rag arm starters, the SOX may have finally learned how to hit crap pitching.
  13. Fun Fact: Tonight the Rays hit their 98th HR of the season. Last season the Rays didn't hit their 100th HR until August 12th.
  14. But it was all uphill. Similar to the rest of their season.
  15. I hope so, too, but I also hope it doesn't go extra innings if he does.
  16. I have complete phaith in Cora looking phorward to the PO's and making sure his players are phully rested.
  17. Pivettaboutit! You don't need a circus tent to have a clown show.
  18. I must have shamed them into scoring. They're catching up to that 83mph fastball.
  19. C'mon, Angels, you had us at 1-0. Quit piling on.
  20. LAX? Isn't that the airport in LA?
  21. The 4 day rest, instead of 5, isn't agreeing with Paxton.
  22. Actually, when you look at this SOX offense, only Devers, Dugo, and Turner have a history of being decent MLB hitters.
