  1. The Rangers offense is respectable. Their starting pitching has been decimated by injuries. And there's more than a few worse teams than the SOX in MLB this season.
  2. Hindsight is golden, MOON, or is it green?
  3. The SOX have clobbered Keuchel more than pretty much any other pitcher this season. He really is done as a pitcher.
  4. At this point I would classify Devers as a 3.5 tool player. Could easily become a full 4 tool player.
  5. Devers' delivery service appears to be back in business.
  6. JBJ had the gift of getting excellent jumps on fly balls. I wouldn't describe him having exceptional speed.
  7. The ultimate 5 tool players were Mays and Mantle(before he damaged his leg.) Also Barry Bonds before he 'bulked up.'
  8. The 5th tool "speed' is unclear. I'm not sure it just weighs that heavily on stolen bases.
  9. Seeing that he's 28, do you think he might take 400mil for 10 years?
  10. He doesn't play defense. I'm referring to the traditional 5 tool requirements. 1)hits 2)hits with power 3)excellent defense 4)strong arm and 5)speed.
  11. The only proven MLB 5 tool players I'm aware of that are playing today are Trout and Betts. Can anyone think of any others?
  12. It depends how one defines 'didn't work out.' How do you feel about JD's 5 year contract? I feel it worked out. Some might look at 2020 and this year and feel it didn't work out.
  13. Devers' defense has improved immensely. And he is 'valuable' at hitting. Very valuable.
  14. Some here believe that the SOX should have done the same with Devers. It's definitely a big risk for ownership.
  15. F'ing chUMPS. Always looking for confrontation.
  16. In Keuchel's 7 years in Houston he had one great year(20-8) and two very good years.
  17. Btw, has anyone mentioned what a good pick-up Pham has been so far?
  18. Bogey hit a teed up cutter 400 feet. JD with a similar teed up pitch hit a foul grounder.
  19. Yup, that doesn't sound promising.
  20. "Easy? We don't do nothing easy."--Tina Turner
  21. I agree. Mazzy, Youk, and Millar just don't cut it for me.
  22. I wonder if Pedey would be interested?
  23. Btw, this being ECK's last season in the booth, who would the posters here like to see replace him? ECK, like Remy, will be a hard act to follow.
  24. What happened to 'one game at a time?' A ten game winning streak; that's asking a lot, but as the ultimate optimist, I'll give it my best shot. We all love the SOX and it would be a much less painful season if the SOX could at least finish over .500. Go SOX!
