  1. My prediction was about 10 feet wrong.
  2. Devers will hit a HR to tie the game. He is way overdue.
  3. You're kinda like the thread monitor.
  4. I believe the only end story this season is if the SOX finish a couple of games above .500 or a couple of games below .500. This is an average team with way above average ticket prices. However, can Duvall and Story, SOX version of The Lone Ranger and Tonto, arrive in time to save the season and send the town folks back to their homes safe and happy? Stay tuned. Hi Yo Silver Away!
  5. In Martin we trust; all others pay cash. A BP is like a box of chocolates. One never knows what's coming out of the box from game to game. It's a crap shoot, I tell ya.
  6. In 2022 MLB starters averaged 4.57 innings.
  7. It would interesting to know what % of starts in MLB go more than 5 innings so far this season. I'm guessing it's less than 40%.
  8. Since coming back, Paxton has had 4 starts and 3 were good. Better than I expected.
  9. To be exact, a quality start has to be at least 6 innings, but it was a very good 5 inning start.
  10. Saturday's games against Tampa will be a day/night double header. Just referring to it as a DH is misleading, because us old timers remember that real double headers were two games for the price of one ticket. Being specific is important.
  11. OB is certainly obsessed with length of games. Here's an idea; make all games 7 innings. Here's a better idea, make the games so short that before one finds his/her seat at the park, the game is over.
  12. Going into the 2nd 3rd of the season, really only 3 teams in MLB have W/L records worth writing home about. Rays' record is worth writing home twice.
  13. Weaver(RH) vs Paxton(LH) Most of the SOX batters have already faced Weaver. Only one Reds' player has already faced Paxton. Go SOX!
  14. This relates to 4 innings being insufficient.
  15. There's only one true response to Cora's remark. "Duh."
  16. Well, by the time the evidence is collected, even though we all saw it, and a grand jury is called in, it will still take a year for an indictment.
  17. They went down fighting.
  18. Reds forced to bring in their closer. I was gonna say there's no clock in baseball, when there's actually a ton of them. But, a team still has to get the last out.
  19. When enough people continue to exalt how great a manager Cora is, one tends to believe it, even when one's eyes tell a different story.
  20. It's definitely an addiction.
  21. Bob Marley shot him, but he didn't shoot no deputy.
  22. If one can accept the fact this team isn't going to the PO's, but may still finish over .500, losses won't drive one so crazy.
  23. Lively has made the SOX bats lifeless.
