  1. At this point I'd say ownership is the problem. Has been for quite a while. For this season, I'd also throw in long term injuries to important positions.
  2. I didn't say it didn't. If they had the same record at home as they have on the road, they'd be 22 games over .500. I know; if frogs had wings.
  3. Homefield disadvantage. The SOX now are 4 games under .500 at home. Truly disgusting.
  4. I noticed before the game started that Arizona has a fielding % of .990. Obviously, they don't beat themselves.
  5. If O'Neill was a car, the owner would be protected by the 'lemon law.' The same would hold true for Story.
  6. Great D by Rafaela. Joelly pretty much the same as he was before going to WOO. Growing pitchers in the SOX farm is similar to growing tomatoes in the Sahara.
  7. Easy to see why the Cards didn't re-sign O'Neill. They were tired of paying the guy for not playing. OTOH, the SOX have no problem paying players who can't play.
  8. I guess the SOX playing at Fenway neutralizes having a RH on the mound.
  9. If the Energizer Rabbit had more muscles, he'd be Duran.
  10. Devers is going to need a 10 RBI game like Fred Lynn had years ago, so that his RBI total fits in with his other stats.
  11. OB mentioned this and didn't explain why. Maybe even he doesn't know.
  12. Anyone know why Ref was a late addition? Is O'Neill injured again?
  13. Btw, Martin has 39 K's and only 2 walks so far this season. He's a pitcher.
  14. Vegas, here's what you should do. Drive to Thunder's house on Friday, then drive him to Fenway. Give him your ticket and wait for him after the SOX win, then just drive him home. It's the least you could do as a SOX fan. I was going to post that you could wait for Thunder at one of the near by taverns, but I don't want you getting a DUI.
  15. Missed most of game. Looks like a very good SOX pitched game by all involved. 2nd night in a row of a good job by the BP. A very nice 4-3 record against two very good teams.
  16. Well said, but it doesn't explain Devers' low BA with RISP.
  17. Duran is the perfect example why one shouldn't go by first impressions.
