  1. I'm predicting a high draft pick for the SOX.
  2. The SOX BP looks pretty good. My question is at what point in the season will most of the BP arms be exhausted?
  3. I don't know if this has already been posted, but Cora has named Bello as the opening day starter. It was a choice between him and Pivetta.
  4. He blinded me with science!
  5. Don Sweeney, GM of the Bruins, has proven that picking up hockey players from Good Will has been much more effective than picking up ballplayers from there.
  6. Then there are two adjusted givens. Death and the SOX finishing last. Unless you're gonna post that some people don't die.
  7. Death and taxes are always considered two givens. Here's a third given: The SOX will finish last in the AL East for the 3rd straight season. If they finish above .500, I will be amazed after this pathetic off-season of shopping at Good Will again.
  8. Except for one team, the fans of the other 28 will have said or will be saying the same thing. The fans in Oakland need not bother. Since 2004, the SOX fans have had 4 seasons where they didn't have to say that. Before 2004 the SOX fans had 85 straight seasons of "wait till next year."
  9. The SOX are short on LH relievers, so I certainly hope he'll be a contributor again next season.
  10. Great job by Houck. May not have been the O's best line-up, but the ones who were playing still had bats in their hands.
  11. Maybe said pitcher was one strike out away from receiving a bonus.
  12. Hopefully, the SOX can maintain today's momentum heading into their 10 game west coast trip next March.
  13. Some team will grab him. Lesser talents like Dalbec can survive when there's 30 teams in the league. Back when their were 16 teams in MLB, Dalbec would already have begun his new career in something other than baseball.
  14. RIP Tim Wakefield. It's never a good day when a good human being dies.
  15. To me Wong is just a weaker hitting version of VAZ.
  16. If and when Dalbec is traded, he'll make his new team's Triple A team better.
  17. Like I posted yesterday, once Story learns how to do a back flip the SOX will have their own Ozzie Smith.
  18. Another loss would actually be more beneficial for the SOX future.
  19. With 2 last place finishes in a row I believe we're already prepared for the worst.
  20. We can only hope for the best and be prepared for the worst.
