  1. The SOX would have to finish their remaining 24 games at 8-16. Easily doable.
  2. I imagine this HP chUMP has a food allowance. I don't understand why, because he eats shite.
  3. I believe many SOX fans are already pissed off. They will never boycott Fenway.
  4. 78-84 would give them the same W/L record 3 years in a row. Don't you realize how rare that would be? Perhaps it''s actually never been done before.
  5. However, teams like KC and the Twinkies keep allowing the SOX to remain in the hunt.
  6. I'd like them to finish over .500. Baby steps. But if that's not gonna happen, I'm rooting for 78-84.
  7. My bad. Foxx's 92 extra base hits is a Red Sox record.
  8. Right now Duran has 78 extra base hits. Maybe I should have said he has a shot at breaking Foxx's record. He'll need 15 more with only 25 games remaining counting this one.
  9. Duran has a good shot at breaking Jimmie Foxx's 1938 MLB record of 92 extra base hits. That'll be interesting to keep an eye out for.
  10. If his shoulder is injured, then I agree with you. Bring up one of the prospects to give us something to watch, besides Duran.
  11. Maybe he's injured, but I've seen nothing in his swing that verifies that.
  12. I'm using my eyes and not those misleading stats. BTW, his stats are dropping faster than an Acme anvil.
  13. Valdez showing some leather out there.
  14. Besides the other great things Duran does for the SOX, he also appears to be the SOX most timely hitter.
  15. 0-2 base hit. No excuse for that shite.
  16. It's disappointing when both O'Neill and Devers do nothing when the bases are empty, because that's when they've done their best work this season.
  17. "Keep me in coach; I'm pitching a perfect game." Apologies to J. Fogarty.
  18. Cheer up. Liam is due back, maybe by Friday and Story is due back sometime before the end of the season. Unfortunately, they're both a season too late and millions of dollars short.
  19. Well, once it's predetermined that's it. I don't think it's legal in real life to change something that's been predetermined. I'm pretty certain that in MLB when a manager makes a predetermination, he is not allowed to vary from it. Hold on, I was wrong. The rulebook states if a pitcher is throwing a no hitter thru the 4th inning and has tossed less than 60 pitches, the predetermination can be reversed. But the manager has the final say, because there's no penalty for over-managing.
  20. "It ain't ovah till it's ovah." The SOX aren't the only mediocre team in this PO race.
  21. I'd go with 6 runs. And even that wasn't good enough for that long stretch right after the ASB.
  22. I really thought that the SOX FO picking up Rich Hill would not only get the SOX to the PO's, but also to the WS. Oh, well, hard to be right all the time.
