  1. Remember those good ol' days when Baltimore was considered Boston south? Yup, those good ol' days.
  2. A season high strikeout game for the O's pitcher. Against the SOX; who'd have thought?
  3. Another example why on an earlier post I compared Rafaela to the O's excellent CF'r Paul Blair. Blair was also a light hitting batter, but his defense was top shelf.
  4. SOX are guessing fastball correctly and they still can't hit it. I thought it was curve balls that made players into announcers.
  5. A very needed economical inning.
  6. Playing Grissom or not playing Grissom still makes the Sale trade one of the worst ever.
  7. O's pitcher should just stick with his fast ball.
  8. Very good shut down inning, but Bello's pitch count may be a problem.
  9. Two major sins, so far, by Bello. Walking a guy after being ahead 0-2 and giving up a hit on an 0-2 count. Fortunately, the SOX have an ACE at this point in the season, but it ain't the guy many thought it would be. That guy, imho, may be able to peak as a middle of the rotation pitcher.
  10. Watching the Dodgers/Mets game and saw this interesting stat: Dodgers' batters 1-4 have a combined BA of .310 which is 1st in the NL. Dodgers' batters 5-9 have a combined BA of .206 which is last in the NL.
  11. We won't be 'memorializing' this game.
  12. Ya get what you didn't trade for. Oops, the FO did trade for Grissom.
  13. Costello: "What's on 2nd?" Abbott: "No. Grissom's playing 2nd." Costello: "WTF!"
  14. Costello: "Who's on 1st?" Abbott: "No. Cooper and Smith alternate there." Costello: "You were better off with Who."
  15. The SOX pitchers catch a break. The O's won't be batting in the bottom of the 9th.
  16. In ping pong 11-0 ends the game.
  17. Yup. The previous two seasons there were 4 good teams in the AL East.
  18. Which equates to 18-9 against teams with a losing record. That seriously defines mediocre.
  19. Atlanta FO still laughing about that Sale/Grissom deal.
  20. I still believe it will be a 3 team poodle fight for last place in the AL East.
  21. I agree there could be moves to make this a better line-up, but it will never be a good line-up.
  22. Getting the O's feed and the best thing about it is no Jim Palmer in the booth.
  23. SOX have real depth in rally killers.
  24. I'm pretty sure Rivera got guys out with the same pitch.
