  1. Good job by Houck; bad job by Sims.
  2. Astros' pitcher firing 'blanks' to the bottom of the SOX order. Timely hitting by those 3, especially Hamilton.
  3. Lead-off double syndrome. What is it? It's when a batter leads off the inning with a double and then dies at 3rd. No known vaccine is available. SOX have been suffering from this for most of the season.
  4. Off topic: For those of you who love to snack I found a new to me bag of delights. It's called Candy Pop, which is a mix of popcorn and mini M&M's. I find it more addictive than Caramel Corn, which I also love.
  5. Blanco vs Houck Duran Abreu Masa Devers Wong Smith Sogard Rafaela Hamilton SOX need to get back to their 6-9 runs per game because there's no reason to believe the Astros won't also being scoring a lot. Go SOX!
  6. A good way to describe this SOX team would be the following. The opposing RH pitcher walks very slowly to the mound. The opposing LH pitcher walks with a bit more quickness to the mound. The opposing hitters run to the batter's box.
  7. I'd say 'toast' at this point would define most of the starting staff.
  8. You can spin this anyway you want, but it's got to be deflating to the SOX batters that they have to continue to score 6 to 7 runs most games to have a any chance of winning.
  9. What impresses me even more about the SOX offense is that they don't get to bat against their own pitching staff.
  10. Oh,well, thank goodness the SOX won the 1st 2. I highly doubt that even scoring 9 runs tonight will be enough.
  11. With the way this starting staff has pitched the last couple of months 4 runs will never be enough. A double on an 0-2 pitch is unforgivable.
  12. Another SOX Jansen comes thru.
  13. Love those shutdown innings.
  14. Romy is similar to finding a working McIntosh amp in a dumpster.
  15. Rafaela saves a run with a nice catch.
  16. So many HR's given up by Crawford, I'm surprised he's not suffering from whiplash.
  17. You can't help being impressed with what that 24 year older can do on the ball field.
  18. Striking out The Natural was an excellent way to end the game.
  19. White Sox beating the A's 3-1 in Oakland after 6 in front of a crowd that barely qualifies as a crowd.
  20. A sweep tomorrow will give the SOX a 9-9 record since the break. Not bad considering they were 3-8 at one point. Oh, yeah, the O's lost tonight. Yankems were rained out.
  21. Great job by Kenley. Great win!
  22. You can't score 9 every game. Unfortunately, when the SOX 'only' score 6, the game will usually end up a coin flip.
  23. Melindez must be the most dangerous .194 batter in MLB.
  24. We didn't lose a Mr Anderson; we gained a Mr Garcia.
