  1. Lol :0
  2. LOL :0 THIS thread is a winner
  3. F me to tears! Bobby Daubach This would be a great story if this kid becomes the rising star 1st base franchise story he is capable of becoming??? IDK how far this kid could go, but I loved his dad, and The Red Sox could sure use another home grown rising star! 39ab's 6HR's. 10RBI. 1.118 OPS At this rate, it's reasonable to say that he will definitely hit 78 hrs, 128++ RBI's, with 500+ abs next full season. It's obviously a lock, so let's start getting excited for 21/22. He will start coaching JDM & we are back in business! Imagine the Sox with a AAA pitcher? We will be unstopable !
  4. True..... Which makes it all the more depressing, that with all that money, he let Mookie go.... ultimately for next to nothing. I like Verdugo's up side, but Mookie is perhaps a once in a generation FRANCHISE player. THE FACE of an organization. I don't think we've ever let it sink in, but we may likely have 10 more HUGE $$$$$ BUSTS, before we get something anywhere near how special Mookie is. Not to mention what a classy, intelligent, unique, and quality human being he seems to be! That type of individual does not come around too often, and it feels like he was panic sold, while trying to get rid of some other trash. It really is beyond an outrage to have sold away the rising face of the Red Sox, simply under the pretense that Henry couldn't afford to pay THAT RISING SUPERSTAR? As though saving a few million on THAT SUPERSTAR would save money to get another superstar? I get the business aspect, but I'll never agree that it was worth it.
  5. 2 - 0 in the second round with Raptors * Tatum breaking out as a rising star * Kemba Walker OVER Kyrie, has united this team Like a completely different team!
  6. OH CRAP! LOL :0 ok... my eyes are going too. s***! Now I'm depressed about my 3.0 reading glasses not being enough.... LOL :0 Oy vey! The advice still stands!
  7. Take care of yourself. Try getting outside a bit more? Try socially distanced coffee, a beer, or whatever it is you like? Golf? I know when I've had a few bad MS exacerbations, and didn't have the energy to get out, it got far worse. The only thing that helped was forcing myself to get out and do the things I love. Constant pain can become overwhelming if I allow it to be, so I have no other choice but to move. My family back in Mass. often can't understand why I can't just 'vacation' when I visit. Why I always have to have a project I need to work on at the Cape house? Why I don't retire from work. If I stop moving, the pain sets in, & depression over pain sets in.... Don't feel sorry for me, as I'm a lucky MS person! My limbs all still work, and I can do most things. Sports, unfortunately .... not. BUT! I can still toss the football, baseball, & take a few basketball shots with my 13 year old. I still ... WEIRDLY.. have most short range ultimate Frisbee throwing & catching skills. LOL :0 My point? Sports were a big source of pride for me, and something I truly LOVE. I can't play ice hockey any longer, but there still are a hell of a lot of things I can do. EVEN DURING this pandemic, it is IMPORTANT not to cut yourself off! No matter what hysteria is being pushed, you have an extremely low risk! I have a suppised very high risk, with MS, very bad allergies, VERY BAD sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and extremely high cholesterol..... but...... I'm in very good shape for 57. I refuse to stop getting out! I wear a mask. My wife and I get out on dates a lot. We eat outside at restaurants, go to the coast whenever we can, stay in nice places, visit wineries, and do as much as we can, while moderately socially distancing. I will continue flying back to visit with my mom, whenever I can. I lived at Lowes this summer, while building a HUGE new patio, gazebo, and redoing ALL the shrubbery and landscape in the back yard this summer. We are careful, but we never stopped living. You have your health, & it sounds like you are in good shape? KEEP MOVING! KEEP pushing yourself! DO NOT "LOCK DOWN!" Do not get sucked into hysteria!!! You are too God damned young to buy into hysterical ********! DO AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, without being obsessive about it. Enjoy your life, & remember this is just a blip in the big radar of your life. You're a great person, and you will meet your great person, girl or guy... whatever makes you happy. Keep moving & keep doing. FOR ME.... WORK is the best cure for everything! It's where you make the strong connections that can last a lifetime. WORK! Church? Clubs? volunteer work. Remember! It's very difficult to get depressed when you get focused on the lives of people you like and love. When you stay locked down, and stay in your own head, it's easy to get depressed. Life must be lived, & dwelling on your own frailties, faults, problems, pain, or whatever, is the stuff that keeps you down! LIVE! LAUGH! VISIT! WORK! LOVE! Things WILL turn on a dime at any time. Few people can mix it up with politics & be happy about it. You have to love it... LOVE the history involved.... & remember how things used to be. For now.... in part because of Trump.... that is not going to happen! It ain't worth it anymore! SO LET THAT s*** GO, & live your life. You are way to young to balance this ********, and you don't or shouldn't have the time for it. Now.... Get out there, live your life! Work your ass off!!!! Have fun!!!!! & you will meet an incredible person, and have an incredible life. Just move! Live! Be happy working hard, & it will just happen. Take those important risks when the opportunity is flying by.... & it WILL HAPPEN! Take care kid! & we will catch you around now and again. Now, go knock em dead!
  8. what is this strange season, and why do I feel jealous of the Pirates? kidding.... not kidding.
  9. I love the guy! Excellent 4th OF'r even 3rd
  10. I agree, but it appeared he was not expecting the steal, was caught flat footed, & by the time he got that big body going, it would have been too late. JD is just not good on the bases.
  11. Pillar stole 3rd on his own. JD was right not to go to 2nd on that. We just saw why. He is VERY SLOW.
  12. 2 big wins. Tonight a BIG come from 14pts down 128 - 101 win against the 76'rs. * My west coast Blazers are making the dominant Lakers look mortal. FUN STUFF! GO Celtics!
  13. LOL :0 True dat? I don't know the guy, other than he is a big kid, strong, young, with 1 really good season last year. I'm assuming he has ace potential, but I don't know. Is he an idiot? We've done well with other idiots.
  14. #1... There is no way they make this deal. #2... No way I deal Verdugo! Right now, with Mookie gone, JBJ likely on his way out soon, and Beni completely s***ing the bed, we can't afford to deal him. We need OF'rs in the long run, and this kid... if he keeps his head on straight, & gets totally healthy, could be a steal. #3... This season was over before it began. It's a total write off. TANK! Go big in the draft. Start rebuilding! Target 1 big pitcher for 2021. Spend big on that. #4... Unless somebody with big hopes for this year comes knocking with LOT TO OFFER, we sit back & be miserable for the ride. just my opinion
  15. all true, but you don't have to kick us when we're down. We didn't kick the Yan.... oh wait. I guess we did? This is just sad, & not good for BB. I look forward to the Sox rebuilding, so we can get back to the good old days of an always fun fight. I didn't like it when the Yanks were struggling, and this is just aweful. It's stunning that we've made so many horrible deals that have put us in a massive dugout for likely a number of years. idk... Maybe it really is time to blow thus whole thing up, & rebuild over the next 5 years? First year in forever I haven't followed every game, at least on tape. Just sickening to watch. Let's hope for a quick return to the best rivalry in sports!
  16. If we let it, not going all out to sign Mookie could signal a long slide into irrelevancy. Sox need to hang on to what we have, target pitching, and deal a few guys after they get back to normal... i.e. Beni, JBJ, & a few others. Bogie, JBJ, Devers, stay. We really Fd up letting Mookie go.
  17. i like Devers. I think he has growth potential, and has 1 very good season under his belt. "A generational talent?" 10 year deal? Maybe on the cheap?
  18. I'm feeling a big sell off by the Sox! I hope to God we keep Devers, Bogie, and a few others. JDM I would keep. Sad, but a sell off may be likely, as a lot of teams may think they have a shot. Could be a good time to cut some nice deals.
  19. They are on MLB Network tonight if you can't get it.
  20. So.... You are boycotting all sports? Red Sox? Not watching the games. Good on you.
