  1. If the court dropped the matter, what makes Manfred judge, jury and executioner?
  2. http://boston.cbslocal.com/2018/02/14/red-sox-steven-wright-explains-domestic-assault-arrest-i-never-touched-her/
  3. Bogus in the fact that he never laid a hand on his wife and somehow comes under the "domestic violence" policy of MLB. Chapman fires off eight rounds, chokes his girlfriend and slams her against a wall and only gets thirty days. Manfred is a tool, dispensing judgement seemingly on a whim.
  4. So that 25 games turns into 40 with the suspension. If there is any way to do the suspension concurrently they should do it.
  5. Why not start Wright on the active roster to get the bogus suspension out of the way now? If he is still not ready after the 15 games then DL him.
  6. If the Sox suffer some injuries down the line, Marrero could be that rare player that actually gets traded for himself.
  7. I don't see how the Sox will be "in a world of hurt". They will be free of a mediocre player and can apply the 22 million to extending any number of players that are actually worth that sort of money. I also doubt that a team would accept his contract from the Sox, my question pertained to if he was released. The whole discussion may be moot since he will most likely be injured tripping over his helmet running down to 1st.
  8. He has already under performed for two of his three years here. I don't care how it looks even if he is having a monster year. There is no way the Sox let this vest. By the way, does anyone know if he gets released say 1 AB short and another team picks him up for just one game does his option vest for that team?
  9. This injury prone DH will thankfully be gone in two years after his agent once again fills his head with sugar plums and fairies. Hopefully some of that money can be applied to keeping Sale and Betts around long term.
  10. Wondering if Dombrowski should have waited a few weeks and signed J.D. Martinez for "Moustakas money". After all, the Sox were the only suitor and could have probably gotten him for an AAV of 12 to 15 mil at this point.
