    A little late on the update today. On pace for 598, coming down nicely. If he can do the 27 HR's and 162 RBI with 496 PA all the better.

    Barnes and Sale last year, Kelly this year! Good job by the pitching staff protecting the Sox. Hopefully the position players will get in the mix tonight when the punk bitches from the Bronx retaliate. Everyone should watch out for Sanchez because he has the rep from last year of getting sucker pitches in while staying outside the scrum.

    What are the thoughts on Nunez to SS, Betts to 2nd, Beni to RF and Swihart to LF? A lot of moving parts but it's about time to see what Swihart can bring on an everyday basis.

    It is clear that Cora is favoring Ramirez. Moreland is going on a week since his last start and Swihart has 5 AB's in eight games. That is no way to keep guys fresh in case of an injury. It seems the only way Moreland sees any extended playing time is if Hanley gets injured.

    It was "explicable" when Boras was filling JD's head full of 200 million dollar unicorns. At that time it was Moreland at 1st and Hanley at DH.

    How about the "cajones grandes" that Cora showed today by bringing in Exxon spokesperson Joe Kelly to close. I guess he thought the unleaded that Kelly was throwing would be a little less incendiary than bringing in Smith and his JP4. Three one run games in a row, I am all out of fingernails.

    This post has nothing to do with the fan base hoping for his failure. This post is the result of his failure to live up to the contract in 2 of the three years it has been in place. It is also an attempt at humor to bring a little sunshine into Red Sox nation on an otherwise cloudy day.

    This is troubling especially since Cora mentioned he would not be using his closer just in the ninth but based on game situation. If ever there was a time for Kimbrel it was the eighth after Kelly loaded the bases. Someone else could have handled the ninth
