  1. It looks like it's done (per Joel Sherman) 40/4 yrs + a club option great signing, now let's get Judge to an extension, before he becomes very expensive *** Sherman has been wrong before, I hope he's right in this case
  2. This is what he's looking for, lower everybody to his level. Don't bite
  3. You're an idiot
  4. Enter Sandman into the HOF 100% of the voters, first time ever Class act, In and Out of the field
  5. Sonny Gray has been traded (finally) to the Reds Yankees got in return 2B Prospect Shed Long and compensatory draft pick (38th overall) Then they flip Long to the Mariners for OF Josh Stowers BTW the Reds extended Gray 3 years for 30.5M Details still coming....
  6. I imagine they'd trade him for Andujar and something else, the only way I'm on board is if it comes with an extension
  7. Gray to the Reds??
  8. I didn't know he was 33 years old It doesn't look that good anymore, at least for me
  9. With this I think the BP is settled, let's see if we get confirmation Reported by Jon Heyman, let's see if it's true
  10. I can see the players arguing "owners collusion" in the next next collective contract negotiations, I have the feeling that it will get worse and a strike is coming
  11. If he has a season free of arm injuries he will get paid and many teams will offer him money. At this point the health issue is a big question mark, I hope he does well (not against my Yankees) and gets his payday. I agree with you, the Sox more likely will have to choose between him and an extension to Betts and good contracts for the rest of the young guys.
  12. At this price Machado is a bargain AAV 25 Millions I can see a front loaded deal and an opt-out after 2 or 3 yrs and he can try FA again at 28/29 years old.
  13. Based on Buster Olney Tweet: Buster Olney ‏ Verified account @Buster_ESPN Follow Follow @Buster_ESPN More The White Sox offer to Machado is for $175 million, over seven years. In some ways, their approach is like Boston's w/ J.D. Martinez last winter -- the Red Sox offered $100 million and waited for two months. If CWS offer emerges as best, a big ? is: Would Machado/NYY re-engage? 9:19 AM - 16 Jan 2019 642 Retweets 1,529 Likes Nick CarusoTristin McKinstryRafael BatistaBaseball TrumpRandy WilliamsJames RooneyMadipup SportsChreightonVíctor Petruzzi 430 replies 642 retweets 1,529 likes Reply 430 Retweet 642 Like 1.5K
  14. I get your point, but at the same time is sad to see this guy who really gives everything he has for his team don't get what others with far less talent got as FA, I hope he gets a good contract next year, if somebody around the league deserves that is him, as Moon says very often, we are talking of: Chris Freakin' Sale!
  15. Great article.
  16. Unfortunately, I don't think Sale will get the payday he deserves, he's great, a true warrior, like CC, Pedro, the Big Unit, and several others which really go out and leave/left everything on the field, his FA year has poor timing even with excellent health the $$ he will get is not even close to Greinke or CC deals (just to make some examples), now with some health concerns in the last two years, the guy will be lucky to get a 2-3 yr deal. It's not like he will be homeless if he retires today, but several pitchers with a fraction of his talent got insanely rich contracts over the last few years. It's hard to feel sad for a guy who is already rich but....
  17. Give me 10 and I will dance the rest of my life. LOL
  18. Mel Stottlemyre died on Friday after a bout with bone marrow cancer Class act,
  19. The best way to go, they need to let him grow as a player, if not there's always 1B. His bat is for real, so let's see if he can become an adequate fielder
  20. Let's see what he thinks
  21. Betts just agreed to a 20M contract for 2019
  22. I partially agree with you, specially regarding Kelly, with Kimbrel somehow he still has his velocity, I don't think his decline will be huge, at least not this year, but it will come. Let's remember that he only undefeated is father time.
  23. Boras will find an idiot to get the deal he's looking for. Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. Albert Einstein
  24. The reason might be because a lot of people don't see Harper as the superstar he was supposed to be, most people compared him to Trout and in reality he's not even close to that level (at least not yet). Regarding Machado, those makeup issues might be affecting the expected "bidding war" for his services.
  25. 3 years is too much for a 36yrs old pitcher. I hope is a 2 yrs deal with a vesting option
