  1. You forget how good he was, I know in the 2013 World Series his at bats always worried me the most.
  2. That's good news because besides framing he doesn't really have any other above average tool.
  3. Probably not going to opt out after the injury scare, can't imagine a team will guarantee him 4 years 120 million.
  4. I agree they don't have to tell the truth , there is no reason not to. If the worst happens and Price is out for the season they are not trading for a replacement, no one currently available would be an upgrade to there rotation, except for Quintana, and they would not go there. For depth they could sign a Fister or Colby Lewis for a very cheap major league deal.
  5. Again there is no reason for Price or the team to falsify the diagnosis, that would be ridiculous.
  6. Yes the issue is his muscle not his ligament.
  7. Yes he is, but now one seems to think its good news.
  8. Damn you guys think worst case scenario. Can't live my life thinking worst case.
  9. There is no why, it would make absolutely no sense to lie.
  10. Yeah no.if the info that was being passed down was inaccurate, I would imagine DR Andrews would correct it , to protect his reputation.
  11. If you put the quote into context Price said that because if he was not ready to throw off a mound in 7-10 days he did not want the press speculating. its very sad that you are always trying to get my goat.
  12. I'm also going to guess if they lied about the diagnosis DR. Andrews would not be to happy, it could hurt his reputation.
  13. Yes they are both going to lie about the diagnosis you are freakin brilliant.
  14. Well some good news out of spring training Carson smith is throwing off the mound this week. Hopefully no setbacks and he's ready by June.
  15. I will definitely say he has more credibility then me, but more then Dr. Andrews, I doubt.
  16. Just looked it up if an arbitration eligible player is released in spring training the club owes him 30 days or 45 days salary termination pay, depending when he's released. Once season starts the salary is 100% guaranteed.
  17. I believe the cutoff date before his salary is fully guaranteed is in the middle of March.
  18. I would give up on him if there wasn't a history of tall lefties figuring it out later in their career.
  19. Selske has looked good this spring I'm going to guess he would be the first call up.
  20. You are right we are obligated to pay if no one picks him up and we can stash him in Pawtucket, but if someone picks him up we are obligated for about a half million. There is a cut off day where they have to release before a certain date in March.
  21. If they release him before a certain day in March his whole salary is not guaranteed. I believe the team that picks him up is responsible for most of it.
  22. It's also a good sign that he doesn't seem that nervous about it and says it feels better everyday. He also said the day after if it felt like that he would not have reported it to the team doctors. He would of considers it the normal pain in spring training.,
  23. There is absolutely no tear and the issue is in the muscle not the ligament. I'm not saying the issue might not linger, boy from the sound of it not TJ surgery.
