You sign a Closer for a 1 year deal this year, next Off-Season, you'll be scrambling, to sign 2 Starters, (especially if we lose Eovaldi), A Closer, a SS, 2 utility guys, (Nunez, Pearce), a 1st Baseman (Moreland), and a good chance a DH. I wouldn't Trade too many Prospects this Off-Season, unless you get cost controlled guys.
Next off season you might need whatever good Prospects you have, in Trades. Going all out now is OK, if you have the Farm to keep the ball rolling. Our Farm doesn't have the top of line Pitching Prospects, to keep the ball rolling. You will need Prospects, and Cash, next Off-Season. And hope the Prospects we have, have very good Seasons in the Minors, for Trades.
