  1. Agree, this works not only for this year also next too. Guy can swing into BP, if needed. Gives versatility. Just got to hope the new surgery he got works. They tried, a different procedure for him on last TJ.
  2. Now DD, can use all his resources on Cervelli.
  3. Now we can focus on Cervelli.
  4. I hope DD is not investing his energy this Off-Season in the Catchers Position.
  5. Hope Sale's Shoulder OK. Shoulder issues seem to never go away. You need a Eovaldi, just for insurance next year. And hope no more problems with his elbow. That's why important in case of injuries this year you don't move any of the decent Prospects. You might need them during season for Trades. This Off-Season spend only, don't move any Prospects. Good read months ago. https://bosoxinjection.com/2018/07/17/red-sox-rumors-j-d-martinez-open-restructuring-contract/
  6. Next Off Season, is where he will earn his pay.
  7. You sign a Closer for a 1 year deal this year, next Off-Season, you'll be scrambling, to sign 2 Starters, (especially if we lose Eovaldi), A Closer, a SS, 2 utility guys, (Nunez, Pearce), a 1st Baseman (Moreland), and a good chance a DH. I wouldn't Trade too many Prospects this Off-Season, unless you get cost controlled guys. Next off season you might need whatever good Prospects you have, in Trades. Going all out now is OK, if you have the Farm to keep the ball rolling. Our Farm doesn't have the top of line Pitching Prospects, to keep the ball rolling. You will need Prospects, and Cash, next Off-Season. And hope the Prospects we have, have very good Seasons in the Minors, for Trades.
  8. When I see history, I see guys who spent their entire career here. Or at least 90%. Not guys who were here for a few years. Ted Williams called Dom DiMaggio one of the most Underrated players ever. Good enough for me. 11 years here, plus lost 3 of his best years in the War. Supposed to be even better playing Center then his brother. I still think he holds the consecutive games hit, in Sox history.
  9. https://risingapple.com/2018/11/18/mets-relievers-acquired-trade/2/ You know Sandy Koufax was wild as hell, when he first came up. Cant teach Power. McDowell too, lots of Power Pitchers when they are YOUNG, have control problems.
  10. He's 23, started out at 19 with us. Already Pitching in the Majors. Read he hits, 100+ consistently. Did you read that?
  11. That's how I feel about the Espinoza Trade too.
  12. Glad they brought him up, he gets a full share, which for guy like him is huge. It's over $400,000. I always liked Butler, he'll be a good Coach. Good Luck, Dan.
  13. I see the Mariners want to include Gerson Bautista too, who we Traded for Addison Reed. This was one of those includes, by Dombrowski, wish he would stay away from our Minor Leaguers.
  14. Keep an eye out for LHP Jesus Luzardo. He could be a good gamble. My mistake still too early.
  15. I think I said like he was thrown in on that Trade. In about a year, we might need him. That Salem team was good , with Moncada leading off, then Dubon, then Bennintendi. Dubon is a good SS.
  16. Nah just want Dubon back, they can keep Shaw.
  17. I was talking about Reyes, and his Minor Leagues. He's also 32-7 and a 2.12 ERA in 4 seasons of Minor League Ball.
  18. 327 innings, and 33 BB's, that's what I'm talking about. Just turned 22, I'm psyched.
  19. Denyi Reyes, excellent. Pitchers, that throw strikes, and don't walk batters in the Minors, always a good thing. Command of the strike zone more important then velocity.
  20. If you think that fine, but it worked they won it all without, him. Never got close with him. 29-15 with him, especially after that start. They started out 19-2 right, then 10-13 with him there after that. 79-39 after he was gone. Cora saw he was not a piece to this team, once JD got here. Smart move to save the money too, by DD.
  21. This one always has me angry. Like he was just thrown in. https://reviewingthebrew.com/2018/11/16/milwaukee-brewers-mauricio-dubon-eager-come-back-injury/
  22. Santana for me if you hit, you win, if not, 1 year gamble. Those are the value moves I like.
  23. How much does each team make after that huge TV contract, that was signed this week? Go all in this year, next year it is going to be hard. 3 key Free Agents, plus an opt out on JD. Have to go hard 1 more year. Sale's shoulder still a concern for me, for next year.
  24. Love Dirt Dogs like Pearce. Anything for the team. Can never have enough of these guys. Perfect signing 1 year, at same price, how can you be disappointed.
