  1. We stopped being aggressive at the plate, taking too many pitches. Too many good pitches.
  2. Reminds me of Frank Tanana, after arm problems. All about control.
  3. That was a nice swing.
  4. Bruins over thinking like Tampa. SHOOT the _UCKING PUCK! Trying to be cute against those Moose's.
  5. Load up with RHB's and you should have a great chance of beating him.
  6. Boy Sale is an average Pitcher without that hard fastball, and hard biting slider. Very hittable.
  7. Last April/March he hit .195, May-.203 June-.202, then 2nd half .269. And a .272 BA with RISP for the year, relax.
  8. I was just reading Pitchers are now being taught, to pitch high in the zone, so they can negate Launch Angle. Easy outs now.
  9. In all Minor League games yesterday, Sox Minor Leaguers had 104 at bats, with 47 K's. Whatever happened to making contact. No wonder we have nobody except for Duran with a good average. 47 outs, that Opposition, did not have to do anything. This is bad philosophy, about Launch angle, and swinging for the fences. Especially at a young age.
  10. Houck and Reyes pitched nice games today, both games 1-0, Portland lost 1st game, won 2nd.
  11. 72 at bats, that does it for me...Trade him.
  12. Baseball is a tough game. 90% of the time the Fans don't have patience.
  13. Boyd has 36 K's in 24 innings. Had 13 K's against the Yanks. Batters are hitting .220 so far this season. LHB are hitting .143 so far against him. RHB .243
  14. Houck was pitching a 1 hitter after 5, with 9 K's, 0 BB's, rain delay. Dalbec hit a HR.
  15. Keep an eye on Marcus Wilson, in the Swihart trade. Very Fast, CF with a very good Arm. Originally a Round 2 Comp Pick for the Cards*. Very hard worker I keep reading. He's in Portland now. * Just looked it up in that Draft, 2nd Round Comp Pick by Arizona.
  16. Nice Pitching. Enjoy the Game Happy Easter. Its the Bruins for me.
  17. Guy has reverse splits, tougher against LHB, then RHB, this year so far.
  18. Glasnow faced Houston, had a good game. 5 innings 1 ER. Sox played Toronto and Baltimore too, Yanks half the team injured. Rays get this kid, Snell, and Honeywell up to speed, that's going to be a pretty good cheap rotation. I don't look at other teams SOS, just W's and L's.
  19. I expect few runs today, got to play mistake free. Manufacture runs when you can. Glasnow, looks like he's turned the corner.
  20. https://www.milb.com/milb/news/farm-system-rankings-21-and-under-talent/c-304402418 Sox are 27th in Pitching Prospects, Tampa 3rd. https://www.milb.com/milb/news/farm-system-pitcher-rankings-30-21/c-304041368 https://www.milb.com/milb/news/farm-system-top-10-pitcher-rankings/c-303912812 Dombrowski leaves Tigers Farm getting better in the Farm in Pitching....pretty quick too.
  21. Sandoval comes off the books, with 5 million buyout, but Sale goes in at 30 million. I doubt they sign Porcello.
  22. Come on Matt finish strong.
  23. This time of year I just concentrate on the Sox. If they play good, things will take care of itself.
  24. The goal for every team is make the Play-offs, you never make it in April, or lose it either, if your a good team. Too long of a season. Not a good team, doesn't matter what Month. Winning percentage only matters if it counts that your better then the team behind you, and make the Play-offs. Other teams are going to have injuries, go in slumps, many different things. 5 games behind in April, and 5 games behind in Sept. too way different things, and vice versa. 5 games up in April, and 5 games up in Sept.
