Well Dombrowski is doing it right at the Catchers position goes, he just not giving one away. Spring Training injuries, poor performance, for the Back-up, could land you back a decent player. If its Leon, team is getting a excellent Back-up, and Spot Starter, as he did the blunt of Catching, during last years Dog Days, where its tough for any Catcher. Sox didn't skip a beat, and without Sale much of the time. Don't go by his hitting, probably exhausted from Catching From July 2, to Aug. 31st. 8 weeks exactly. 32-8 record, not bad. Unheralded performance last year.

Wow, that a heck of a haul, plus a Draft pick? And they want Gray in a hitters park, for 1 year. That's why the Reds are not a good organization. 2 Top 10 Prospects. Lesson to learn here, deal with dumb organizations.

Get to see Dalbec this year, saw him a couple years back in Lowell, see how much improvement in him. According to McAdam, the Sox are approaching the 240 million mark. 246 is the threshold. I think the Sox go with what they got. Wait this out see if Salaries drop as you get Closer to Spring Training, or even after they start it.

That 3.36 ERA in Coors Field not bad for Ottavino. 206 innings, only 19 HRS in that launching pad, pretty good.

Instead of going for 1 big name, and spending forever, you went on a strong BP. Very Strong BP. And its cheaper. Relievers are Tradeable too, if kids come up, and do good. Now, you got young talent coming back. Relievers at the July 31, trade dead line bring back some of the best returns. Sox just got too much dead money, stuck between a rock and hard place.

How many games, and what was the score, when he entered? Did he face the top of line-up or bottom. What teams too? Like I said, no problem trying him out, but Eovaldi, can be used as a back-up, if he fails. And not only as a 1 inning Closer, either.

Talking about Eovaldi as a possible Closer, LATER in season, you start out and see what you got at the beginning. Eovaldi can impact more games, in a week then a single Start. Eovaldi can throw more then just 1 inning. You can bring him in the 8th, and make him a 2 inning Closer. You have to shorten the Game, with the 100 Pitch Count. 6 innings, is about what you get nowadays. The last 3 innings of games are crucial. Use Eovaldi for 2, you cut it down to one. Seen Barnes all the way back to UCONN, kid has the tools, but does he have the balls. As a Sox Closer, it has me nervous.

I could see this. He does 2 important things for a Closer, throws smoke, and good secondary Pitches, and the most important thing, he throws strikes.

Ockimey not on list for 1st baseman. His stock has fallen, because of his Defense.

Looks like at this point like some dead money is hurting us a bit this Off-Season.

Yanks must have seen improvement from him to Offer this. Lets face it when he is on, he is nasty. 14,15, and the unreal 16 season, if he gets close to that. That will be a strong BP. Big if.

Agree on Kimbrel Disagree on JD, he was huge this year for the Sox. Glad we got him.

I think the JBJ so called Trade Talks was to explore of looking to move a Player with a Decent Contract, at a High Point for Prospects. Going to need them sooner then you think. 1 Team is the surprising thing., that wont work, you need more then 1 Team, to try to get Teams to bid against each other. Not worth your time if Reports are just 1 Team.

Agree, the guy has a Rubber Arm too. He makes the BP versatile, Go Long, Set-up, Close. I would have liked the Sox get him.

The knock on Ockimey is his Defense. Hard to figure they bring him up, with this. He wasn't protected, and he wasn't Drafted in Rule 5, seems others see him, as he needs much improvement. Not counting on him too much, this year, especially if he has a weak Triple AAA, season.

That 3 Run Homer in game 4 was a pretty big hit in the WS. I like Moreland. Down 4-0, that hit got everything going. Lost the night before, one of the most crucial hits in that Series.

Ramirez not bad, 14 HRS, in 45 innings, year before, 22 HRS in 131 innings, both years in Pitchers Parks. Should be a lot of balls flying out in Wooster, for the kids.

On July 1st when CV got hurt, Leon was hitting .261. Then next 2 months, he caught all but 4 games. During the hardest part of year, to Catch, with all the heat, and number of games he caught. If there is one position on this team I really like its our Catchers. Both call good games, not the worst hitters. Both Great Defensively, and throwing our Runners, and are cheap, for the wins that we get. Leon got tired at end of year for Catching for 2 Months, it effected his hitting.

Couldn't agree more. The Pitchers on this Staff, are part of the Sandy Leon Fan Club too. All rave about him as a Game caller.
