    Hanley batted .219 in 2nd half last year. Moreland .231 last year in 2nd half. Only difference is contract. You can afford .231, but .219, not good. Same amount of HRS too both had 10.

    Taking care of business against the weaker teams has to be done. Cant control the other teams Roster only ours. Losing to the weaker teams is worse to me. That's when I start to worry about our Roster. Good Job Boys! Keep it going.

    Pawtucket doing OK. Last night 1-5 with 3 K's, hitting .263.

    Dubon was having a great season till he got hurt, 23 game hitting streak, and ready for call-up. But, done for season. Hitting .343 at time of injury.

    I liked Gabbard, arm problems did him in, did not like that Trade at that time too. Gagnon right?

    Like this move, gives extra rest for Price and Sale, especially with a day off on the 18th. Now these guys are thinking. Give a kid a Cup of Coffee, see what he got, and although Tigers are not a Power house, they are not really terrible.

    Rusney 5-5 last night with Lind hitting a HR. I like the Lind signing. Dalbec is hitting .143 against LHP this year so far. He's a RH hitter, but on the bright side he is hitting .288 with RISP, this year so far.

    Hanley comes off the books after this year, they can now bring up Castillo, if they feel he can help for next year. After this season Rusney is now an option.

    Detroit, White Sox, and Orioles next 9 games. They got to do a beatdown, on all three. 6-3 Minimum.

    At 21 years old Olt, was playing Low A ball in Spokane for the Rangers affiliate. I think Devers is in the Major Leagues at 21. Olt is 29 now and still cant break the Majors. Don't take the at bats from the kid. Injury, emergency, Double Header, sure fast call up OK. Weird about Olt, at 23 had his best season in the Minors Double AA, 28HRS, 82 Rbi's , .288 avg. Never came close to it again.

    Flip flop this, Sox win their 1st- 2 games at home, then have your Best Starters Pitching next 2, with a key guy out of line-up for visitors. Coming back and winning 2, is a kick in the nuts. Last night's game was huge, not only because we won, but our mindset. We refuse to lose. Game of Baseball, has a lot to do with the mind, besides the performance. Played like Bulldogs last 2 games, that's what I want to see.

    Too bad we didn't do it in 2011. What teams do you think teams that are dominating up to this point? A couple of key injuries to any team during the season, and things change. Marathon not a sprint.

    Haley has been Pitching under the radar in Pawtucket. He gave up 10 hits, but only 1 run, in 5.1 innings. His ERA is 3.18. Don't go by his record lost a couple tough games, where he has pitched good. Not hearing good things about Dalbec even though he has 11 HRS. 64 K's in 171 at bats, seems like a lot of swing and misses, who seems over-matched in the A+ League.

    Sox have 38 games with just 3 days off till All-Star break. This is a tough grind, but have to grind through this. 2nd half of season, they will have more days off while the Yanks will be playing Games, and making up games, in Double-Headers and make-ups. Pitching staffs really get overworked this way. Rather do it now, then as season progresses later. Rest always better later in season. Important part of schedule right now.
