  1. OBP is good if you drive in the runs. Otherwise LOB is stat that works with OBP.
  2. On Beltre cant they use cash considerations later to pay them back for taking on salary now, to keep us under the Tax? He's a rental. Going to cost you Beeks for sure as a start.
  3. 2-13 RISP last night, last 30 days we have been slipping in getting the big hit in games. For all the Pitchers.
  4. When checking out a Boxscore for the game, just move right into where it says Team in RISP, fast way if team did good on Offense that night. Much faster. 2-13 last night. Easy to see where they failed to score runs. There is a reason this stat has been in the Boxscore for years.
  5. Ever since Boone has used Betances for 1 inning he is pitching lights out. Last 28 days Opponents are hitting .049 against him, with a 0.69 ERA. If he gets it going this is a scary BP.
  6. Moustakas has been slumping after fast start, and doesn't hit Lefties good either. Career .239 hitter against Lefties. This year hitting .225 against Lefties. I can see him Traded any day now for Prospects. If I was him I would welcome it.
  7. "If I stay healthy, I have a chance at 3,000 hits, and 1,000 Errors." - George Brett
  8. It would definitely take a lot balls to move him. But, I'm not moving E-Rod, he's starting to come into own.
  9. Kimbrel has yet to impress me in the highest of leverage situations, against the elite teams. He seems to gag a lot.
  10. You think he is coming back? You think we will pay 16+ for a 1 inning Pitcher?
  11. Might not be a bad idea, if you don't think you might not sign him. These Relievers are getting huge Returns, especially in good Prospects. In fact elite ones. The best investment in FA is Relief Pitchers. Fastest way to build your Farm, and they are still pretty cheap.
  12. Hanley was hitting better this year against Lefties, but I don't think he would have handled the platoon only against Lefties very good. Managers especially ones who played the game have a good feel how players react to just a part time basis. I'll rely on Cora on this.
  13. Hanley didn't hit Lefties at all last year, he might have reverted back to that. Hit .179 last year against Lefties.
  14. I could Manage this team. No brainer.
  15. Rusney Castillo started out as a 2nd baseman, and he kills Lefties. For Cuba he was the starting 2nd Baseman in the WBC. Its only money. Wont happen though.
  16. I like to think of splits as trends. Its not the numbers, it more about consistency, in situations. Like Castillo hitting .334 against LHP for 4 years in the Minors. That's more of trend to me. He hits Lefties better.
  17. Thornburg got hit pretty hard, against a pretty weak hitting team yesterday.
  18. Its the Left handed Bats that are the problem I think. Too loaded on that side. Just quick Benni is hitting. .197 against LHP this year. JBJ .120 Devers .203
  19. We miss Paxson next weekend, but we face LaBlanc again. Never in my wildest imagination, would I worry about a journeyman like this guy. There is serious problem against LHP when you get 2 hit by this guy. Next weekend we face 2 LHP's, both are about the same kind of Pitcher. Lest hope this not a recurring trend.
  20. Happens, need another strong inning from Mr. Wright.
  21. 1 swing ties it.
  22. Agree!!! Anything, just put the ball in play is a start.
  23. Good job Boys! We'll get them.!!!!
  24. His arm is tired from throwing so slow. We'll get him next inning. Come on Mr. Wright. 1,2,3
  25. JacK IT, Jackie!!
