  1. I see basically, Benni, Devers, Holt, Hembree, Wright, and Kelly as contributors from Ben. At what they are getting paid, not bad, now add the other Contracts.
  2. I did, if you add Porcello's contract, only one that is doing something, what's that in contracts for Hanley, Pablo, Rusney, Porcello, this year? Just in pay? They are getting paid by the Sox too. No way around it.
  3. Thanks Ben for 51 million dollars (probably a little less, because Hanley did play some this year) of Dead Money. And its going to effect us next year. Still think we owe 5 million to Craig this year. Any money to me that is used on a Player that doesn't help the Team now, is Dead Money. Not looking at Luxury Tax.
  4. What's the wording in the grievance?
  5. If he got 496 at bats and cut him, would he have to be paid by the Sox, for next year? Legally? Seen Companies with vesting after 5 years for Pension, Lay-off Workers, after 4 years and 10 Months, and Union couldn't help them. These are the people I worry about.
  6. File the grievance and he'll lose. But, why not. Might as well. Contract will be honored, in guaranteed money. Think Rusney Castillo can file a grievance, that the Sox are colluding not to bring him up, because of Salary Cap implications. The whole world knows this, but he's getting paid his Contract, Sox can do anything they want after that.
  7. Flowers hit a Sale mistake. Major Leaguers do this.
  8. This ^^^^ More games in any sport is won by brains.
  9. You'll get your chance, if a team picks Hanley at Vet Minimum, we'll compare. Also see which player helps a team more. Wouldn't it be about same price? Forget the Sox salary that's automatic, for Hanley. They are about on same page now in pay.
  10. Many Fans will compare a Player to a Finish Product. A Rookie who doesn't have the time serviced, cant be Compared to say a Adrian Beltre. You see great Fielder like him, Fans expect too much from a Rookie. Those are the stat guys. Your suppose to have patience, and look at Progress.
  11. Agree, 100%. You go to Minor League games and you watch, for Example Devers, saw him a bunch at Double AA. Got the Arm, has the desire, just a little out of synch. Now. You expect that, his age, and just hasn't played enough for repetitions. Made sure I was close to him between innings, about strength of arm and accuracy, with no runner going down the line. He has it. For sure, at this stage he's rushing it though. He's going to turn into a Gem for the Sox. Good Scouts look at little things, give a Crap about stats.
  12. I like the idea of moving JDM to 1st Base. Work him in slowly.
  13. Guerrero another HR last night 3-4 up to .435 This kid is killing it.
  14. Enigma is Pitching today. Lot of Pitches for 6 innings, usually is his start. Him and E-Rod, need to get efficient. Help the BP.
  15. There is no WAR for Minor Leaguers, but you can see the above average players with your eyes.
  16. Always liked Pedey, hope all his injuries are behind him. Makes Sox a better team.
  17. Kid I'm liking in Pawtucket is Haley. Steady. Tough luck loser this year.
  18. Could never figure Hanley out. Last year stunk against Lefties, but career good. Play Left Field, then 1st, then DH, then whatever. Never a good fit here. Up and Down at the plate. Too bad, time to move forward.
  19. Sox should try to Trade him and see if they could free any cash this year, by eating a ton of money. Might need it at Trade Deadline. Edit: Cant Trading team might get Vesting Option. Catch 22, almost.
  20. You think Cherrington and Sox Lawyers so stupid not to write a clause in Contract that it only vest while on the Sox? Contract honored up to this point, the Option, different situation I would think.
  21. Smart move too.
  22. Guerrero hit another HR tonight, went 2-4.
  23. OT on the Minors, but another Prospect on another team. Anybody noticing this kid Vladmir Guerrero for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in Double AA, he's putting up unreal numbers at age 19. And just turned 19. Here's his history, and this year. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=guerre002vla I suggest if you get the chance, go see him play.
