  1. If the White Sox promote Koppech, they will have rebuilt a whole starting staff and young staff through Trades and the Draft. Next year could be Rodon, Giolito, Lopez, and Koppech. With Dylan Cease a couple of years away. Might be some growing pains, but the talent is there.
  2. Or the equipment these days including balls and Ballparks made for HRS. Talent is talent. Philosophy too has changed, there was a time when 100 K's a year was considered not good at all, now its OK to swing for the fences, and K all you want. I bet Ruth would have loved it now.
  3. Theo Traded away 3 of his Top 5 Prospects, and they still have a pretty strong Farm. That's the difference of Ben and DD.
  4. White Sox are building a very strong team for the future, they will want good Prospects for Abreu. Sox don't have enough for him. White Sox can afford to be patient on him. They have grabbed some of the Best Minor League Prospects from the Cubs, Red Sox, and Nationals. If things work out that team could be a force as early as next year. Here's just one promotion this year. I'm starting to admire their GM. https://www.milb.com/milb/news/chicago-white-sox-promote-eloy-jimenez-luis-robert-dylan-cease/c-282264974
  5. At the Age of 38 Ted Williams hit a HR every 11.1 times at bat. Oh hit only .388 that year. haha Unreal stuff.
  6. Ted Williams 20 years old 1.045 OPS Ted Williams 41 years old 1.096 OPS
  7. Your right haha
  8. How about this Babe Ruth OPS 1.164 and was 94-46 with a 2.28 ERA as a Pitcher. And 3-0 with a 0.87 era in World Series games.
  9. For the Month of June Lin has been hitting down in Pawtucket. .316 He is starting to surprise me with the bat. He's improved a lot since he was originally signed. Of course Castillo is hitting .387 for June but he sucks, right? Probably the best Defensive CF in the International League.
  10. Simple game, you absolutely have to hit. Walks are because you did not get Pitches to hit. That's it.
  11. LOB make OBP void, you need to hit with RISP.
  12. Here's your On Base that many look at, do you get the big hit, or do they turn in LOB?
  13. 4 in the loss column, still very early but cant let it go too far out of hand, Yanks play this afternoon too.
  14. Monday was a stupid off day. Better they play, then get today off, to me.
  15. Lowrie is doing some unreal stuff this season, which wont be lost on Beane. .323 with RISP .476 with 2 outs and RISP....WOW! I think Beane is going to ask for more then many think, he knows Lowrie should keep you under the Luxury Tax by July 31, and if he keeps hitting like he is doing, Beane will ask for more. Trey Ball wont be on his list.
  16. Yanks have had 23 come from behind wins this year already, and season not half over yet. BP keeps them in the game, and Offense hits late and close. Month of June we've been good at Pitching with team 3.09 era, Yanks have a 2.14 era in this Month so far. So far in this Month Yanks are hitting .245, Sox are hitting .235. Dog days are coming, Pitching starts to take over.
  17. 0 for 9 yesterday, and 2 for 22 with RISP in this series so far.
  18. Rusney Castillo is the smartest Ballplayer ever to come out of Cuba. Pulled the wool right over all the Talent Evaluators eyes on the Sox, who have players in the Majors now, that they evaluated. ha
  19. Like you always say thanks, Ben.
  20. Top 5 in AL or Majors? Who's the top 10? Thanks. ESPN has JBJ at 0.0 in WAR. You are correct 0.2 in WAR http://www.espn.com/mlb/stats/batting/_/position/cf/league/al
  21. Cleveland has Encarcion at DH. I don't see that, Angels probably want to go 3rd baseman, I can see Moustakas going there. Washington has a good 3rd baseman there now. Rendon. Teams might go all out and go for Machado and move him back to 3rd. Texas getting anything for him, would be a win-win for them. Just throwing this out there. He would be a good Vet, to get here. Jackson started this and I like it.
  22. With Moustakas out there to deal, might be who teams might look at more then Beltre.
  23. Who's looking for a 38 year old 3rd baseman who is going to be a FA? What teams?
  24. With Beltre all you need is stay under the Tax. Wink, wink, kind of deal with the Rangers. He hits Lefties great, plays enough 3rd base, against Lefties, Righties DH's, JDM to Outfield, JBJ in for Defensive replacement, later in the game. Might help out Devers too, as a Mentor, even for short time.
