  1. JD in the field 132 at bats, .379 avg. 10 HRS. .431 OBP .667 Slugging% 1.090 OPS at DH 182 at bats .286 avg. 16 HRS .364 OBP .621 Slugging % 0.985 OPS Seems he hits better when he in the field. Pretty good Offensive Numbers.

  3. Agree, Reggie Jackson in High Pressure situation different kind of Player, not only with Yanks either, he was force with those A's teams too. He loved pressure. Critical time in the game you were hoping he was not the one coming to bat.
  4. Boy, I've been looking at time time to time at Logan Allen the quiet pc. on the Kimbrel Trade. This kid has been making some good progress through the Padres System. Only 21 years old and Double AA All-Star. Here's his stats, and a article. http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?sid=milb&player_id=663531#/career/R/pitching/2018/ALL https://www.milb.com/san-antonio/news/league-high-nine-missions-headed-to-texas-league-all-star-game/c-281276014
  5. Just reading it says tomorrow's game on the 4th is at 11:05 am. Is this true?
  6. What's concerning is he got hit hard by the worst hitting team in the International League. Rochester. .227 as a team.
  7. Nothing spells failure, as when Reliever who walks batters. Russian Roulette might have better odds.
  8. Last 30 days Tanner Roark has allowed a .324 BA to Opponents. So should not struggle with the bats tonight. Fedde is allowing a .345 BA to Opponents last 30 days. .330 for the season. So, if the bats struggle against these 2, there is a point that the hitters suck, in next 2 days. Although to be fair if Roark is on, he is a better Pitcher, then his numbers are showing.
  9. Chavis is with the Lowell Spinners, went 0-3 last night.
  10. Tim Tebow went 3 for 4 last night against Portland Pitching.
  11. Thanks! I work as a Master Machinist many years, and our Blueprints are less complicated, then these new stats for the simple game of baseball. ha If we had to calculate all these things, to make what is required on what to do to get the job done, company would never make any money. Numbers are good, too many numbers, just too confusing. Rather keep it Simple. KISS has always worked for me.
  12. You compared this to Damon's and Ellsbury worst year Offensively, with the Sox? That was the question, does the Defense, Offset the lack of Production on Offense. So for me your answer is incomplete.
  13. I just copy it. Those Damn walks! Last 10 games.....33 BB's in 50 innings. Geez. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?gid=2018_07_02_salafa_dneafa_1&t=g_box&sid=milb
  14. I don't know if this was Posted but, Pomeranz got shelled in Pawtucket. Yes it was, on another thread. Sorry.
  15. 1st Round Draft Pick Tanner Houck is Pitching tonight for Salem. He's dropped a full run on ERA in his last 3 starts. 6.16 to 5.16. Lets see if he found something and keeps improving. You cant have first Rounders keep falling short. He's pitching A+ so which is one step higher than he should be. So now we need to see improvement. Early in season, it happens.
  16. Yeah shift hurts, many.
  17. See I like JBJ, and hope he improves. The real question is..does he save enough runs throughout the season, to Offset his Offensive deficiencies? You had Damon, and Ellsbury who by no means were a JBJ Defensively, but their Offense Offset that. Maybe I don't know.
  18. So tells you he's been slumping for awhile. Started out decent, then hasn't really improved, or just a Month thing.
  19. Last 365 days JBJ has .203 BA, .284 OBP, and a .608 OPS. 492 At bats with 100 hits. Last half of last year, first half of this year.
  20. He's got to stop thinking he's just got Drafted from Vanderbilt, and start thinking. You need a smart Catcher for this too. Has to change his whole style. A smart Pitcher can beat any team. He has enough in the tank, to out think them. Next time I would try Leon, behind the plate, against them nothing to lose.
  21. Yankees are 20-6 now against Lefty Starters, you better be a above average Lefty, (like Sale), to beat them. They don't hit them for average, they just hit HRS. If we face them in Post-Season, this better be thought out, to break up putting 3 Lefties in a row. Edit: Sanchez is struggling and yet he has a .264 average against Left Handed Starters this year, with 6 HRS. They like Lefties.
  22. Yankees are doing pretty good in the Pitching Dept. Both in Starters and BP. Maybe he changed his focus to try to become a more complete Catcher. His Offense has suffered, because of this. Still is hitting for Power.
  23. Usually for Catchers this is true.
  24. That's it for him tonight, I think. BP time for the Yanks.
  25. Pedro wasn't Severino at 24.
