  1. Verlander next?
  2. Some of the worst umpiring, calling balls and strikes I've seen in sometime. Bad on both sides. This guy sucks. Same location, one is a ball the other a strike...
  3. Anyone surprised there was no interest in Granderson? Dodgers gave up nothing for a hot hitter. CYoung has been dreadful!
  4. Define average? Stats don't lie. 24 yr old lefty. Maybe u catch lightning in a bottle like Doubrant back in 13
  5. If he can manage the arm? Bullpen help is needed
  6. Bobby Poyner AA 33IP 12 H 43 K Hembree time has come and gone. At what point do you make a move?
  7. Paging Dr. Kimbrell
  8. 2 lefty's in the pen, Why would you not have gone to Scott vs Gardner?
  9. Workman on a pitch count?
  10. If Boston wants to win a Championship this season the one move to make is Verlander. I don't want to hear about luxury tax and payroll constraints. Pitching wins championships and with Kimbrell on the backend with Sale Verlander price or porcello your going to be the AL favorite If Houston is talking to Detriot? Henry needs to dig deep..
  11. The Boston Managerial position is arguably the toughest in MLB. You could go a step further and say, one of the toughest Coaching jobs in all professional sports. For that i have respect for whomever holds the position. There is a shelf life. Arguably the greatest Manager in Sox history lasted only 8 seasons before exiting. By what Francona has accomplished in Cleveland you might say Boston Ownership didn't give him long enough. Despite missing the playoffs the last 2 yrs he was in Boston, the sox still averaged 90 wins but it was evident his time was up. I don't agree with all of JF's in game decisions but what I did agree with was him attempting to pull Reed after 1 pitch where it was evident he was going suck again in a big moment. Your job as a reliever is to prepare yourself to pitch and be ready to pitch and study the opponent your going to face. Reed sucked on friday and was not off to good start despite getting Ellsbury out. Kudos to Farrell for calling out Reed. The next appearance by Reed will tell much...
  12. Great start.. Not a matter of IF he will slump, but when. Error was costly leading to the 2 run HR monday night. No doubt, he looks like a great player!
  13. Look at the contract my friend. No thanks. I doubt he is on the block with the sale of the team to Jeter and friends. They ain't drawing a crowd with him, imagine without?
  14. 60 million away from a title.. Verlander puts this team over the top in the AL. I wonder what the internal discussions have been?
  15. Send that lineup to Farrell
  16. For all us arm chair Managers would you go Workman in the 9th or bring in another pitcher?
  17. Well, if they hang on and beat Cleveland tonight there are 55 games left. Miss the playoffs, I believe he will be fired. Playoff appearance with another early exit sweep, I just don't know..
  18. Gray is averaging 6 innings per start and a hundred plus pitches thru 6. For what Beane will ask in a trade I don't think its worth it by way of a top prospect.. Verlander might be a better option by way of what you give up but then, there is the Tax. End of day players u have need to perform on the offensive side of the ball. I just don't know if Farrell has them mentally prepared to play?
  19. Is Reed consistent enough? Gives up the hits + 6 HR's.....
  20. Bruce will fit right in with this defense...
  21. Does Chavis get you Bruce and Reed if the mets were interested in the prospect? Bruce with HR MM gives you pretty good depth at 1b DH and bench
  22. Once again a simple mental mistake by Barnes not backing up the C on a scoring play results in runners on 2nd and 3rd.. Plays like these where Farrell has to held accountable.
  23. Hosmer had 54 hits this season to LF. Why was the D in a shift? Betts in the third inning did not run out a fair ball pop fly to the infield with a man on first. It tells me there is no focus from the Manager to the Players. Once again with the acquisition of Nunez there is no reason for your best RBI Hitter to bat lead off....
