Brentz vs LHB this season 1060 OPS with 8 Hr's - CYoung 91 AB's 1 HR and a .250 SLGpct = Priceless!

Im not defending Farrell. BUT, Pedroia Bradley Price out. You have a young 3B, 3 for his last 26. A perennial all-star shortstop who hasn't hit a lick since May. They have many young players and with that comes in-consistency.. Like a few posters have said. Where is Brentz vs LHP?

Devers 2 for last 25 zero EBHits.. Time to take a few days there John?
-
Those were the days. Starters those years under Martin always led the League in Complete games.. Langford, Keogh, Norris, Kingman and I believe McCatty.. Keogh pitched a 14 inning complete game..

Some of the worst umpiring, calling balls and strikes I've seen in sometime. Bad on both sides. This guy sucks. Same location, one is a ball the other a strike... -
Anyone surprised there was no interest in Granderson? Dodgers gave up nothing for a hot hitter. CYoung has been dreadful!

Define average? Stats don't lie. 24 yr old lefty. Maybe u catch lightning in a bottle like Doubrant back in 13

Verlander

If Boston wants to win a Championship this season the one move to make is Verlander. I don't want to hear about luxury tax and payroll constraints. Pitching wins championships and with Kimbrell on the backend with Sale Verlander price or porcello your going to be the AL favorite If Houston is talking to Detriot? Henry needs to dig deep..

The Boston Managerial position is arguably the toughest in MLB. You could go a step further and say, one of the toughest Coaching jobs in all professional sports. For that i have respect for whomever holds the position. There is a shelf life. Arguably the greatest Manager in Sox history lasted only 8 seasons before exiting. By what Francona has accomplished in Cleveland you might say Boston Ownership didn't give him long enough. Despite missing the playoffs the last 2 yrs he was in Boston, the sox still averaged 90 wins but it was evident his time was up. I don't agree with all of JF's in game decisions but what I did agree with was him attempting to pull Reed after 1 pitch where it was evident he was going suck again in a big moment. Your job as a reliever is to prepare yourself to pitch and be ready to pitch and study the opponent your going to face. Reed sucked on friday and was not off to good start despite getting Ellsbury out. Kudos to Farrell for calling out Reed. The next appearance by Reed will tell much...
