I'm implying I rather see Houck before Richards, E Rod, Pivetta and Richards.....but that's just me. -

I don't understand the idea of not pitching Houck for 8-9 days. Why is he missing his turn? Better yet, why can't he stay on the roster and pitch multiple innings?

Austin Davis with 4 more years of team control. My guess is Chavis opened spot for Schwarber/Robles. Workman was DFA.

I'm trusting Bloom all the way. He got us to this point, this year, when nobody thought we could do it, this quickly, and for that, he's being blasted and roasted alive. Geesh! I'm more interested in what to do now. What if Devers is out longer than we expect? We're very thin in IF unless we play Kike there. What if Xander gets hurt? Kike to SS, who plays 2B? Still don't get the logic of not bringing back up Houck to start with normal rest. Why not skip Richards while waiting on Sale to comeback?

Chavis leaves with .549 OPS. A first rounder traded just to open up a spot on 40 man roster. We got ham sandwich in return.

Too bad he couldn't control his impulse to swing outside of strike zone. With his short arms, he couldn't connect.

1 K per inning, 1BB per 2 innings, decent .237 BA. Better than Workman. Strictly a rental, FA after this year.

Not enough to win the Division. I doubt either can pass BOTH the Sox and the Rays. So their hope is they can win a one game do or die game. I wouldn't bet on that.

So Negative Nick's been firing away on a different thread... POSITIVES We got one of my favorite players, Schwarber. We only lost ONE PROSPECT. We may still be under the cap. I can now go bitching about our rotation which I think can be fixed if they would only take my calls.

Yankees, Blue Jays and Rays improved their bats against our woeful starting pitching. No one is talking about the thrashing we got from the Jays last night.

One is hurt and other is sent down so he can start in 10 days. Why not use Houck in relief between his starts?

Jays and the Yankees.....one, possibly both will be disappointed. They are not both getting into the playoffs.
