    Really? There’s a lot to like about this team, too. The bullpen has been great and is finally Ort-free. Sale has shown marked improvement in his last 3 starts and might be shaking off 3 years worth of rust. Some of the younger arms (Winckowski, Crawford) that were whipping boys last year are showing they might be good. Yoshida has turned around a horrible start. This team just doesn’t give up. 2-0 in extra innings despite giving up the first run in both games. That’s a huge step up over last year. Tied with the Yankees! I think they can stay in the postseason hunt.

    Hard to walk away from $300+ million, especially knowing one bad knee injury can make it a horrible financial decision…

    It’s unfortunate, but that kind of thing happens all the time. They’re not going to DFA Brasier unless they need a 40 man roster spot, which they do not need in order to activate either Rodriguez or Paxton…

    The Sox dealt away Allen nearly 7 years ago. Sox fans can’t wait for Brayan Bello to make himself a Cy Young contender after 3 starts and 12 IP, or for Casas to establish himself after 75 at bats. So.. seven years?

    Not sure, but given he just completed 4 years with Boston and made 73 (out of 128) possible starts and ended his career with them injured, I’m not surprised he didn’t come back. Whether it was because Boston didn’t want him back out because Texas simply offered more money, I’m not sure…

And Joe Castiglione once hinted was a major league *******. Castiglione might be right, but Wade Miley has spent the bulk of his career as a massively underrated pitcher…
