    IIRC, they said that said guru was with the Diamondbacks last year but that his contract there allowed him to talk with JD. They also indicated that his Dodger contract does not allow that.

    Maybe Eck could have answered better or said no comment but Price could have taken the high road and just moved on. Price chose to escalate the rhetoric. He’s the one who can’t seem to let it go. It should go nowhere and it should not affect the NESN appearances.

    I hadn’t thought about it but you’re right. Devers is a much better 3rd sacker though. Yaz was a great LF and a decent 1st baseman but the month or so he tried to play 3rd he was awful.

    He should play 4-5x a week. His history is he wears down playing every day.

    It was pretty innocuous. Chad Finn asked about it in an interview and Eck basically said he didn’t care one way or another and that he doubted Price did either. Price then fired back and Eck responded. So once again, the media creates the story.

    Saw a good trivia question today. What do the Cubs and White Sox have in common (besides both being from Chicago)? I’ll give the answer now cause nobody will get it unless they’ve seen it before. None of them ever won a World Series during the lifespan of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The USSR was founded 23 days after the White Sox won the 1917 World Series.

    He was a singles hitting speed guy who knew his limitations. He hit a grand total of 7 homers in his 11 year career (2 of those with Boston) and none in his last 6 seasons. I wonder if any were inside the park.

    Disagree, I don’t see that as a mental error; that’s a physical one. A mental error is throwing to the wrong base or a pitcher failing to cover first on a right side grounder.
