  1. Can we infer you don’t think it’s winnable?
  2. He’s not that far from having a 3 homer night.
  3. I did not attack you. I specifically said it was not a shot. You on the other hand, seem predisposed to name call anyone who shows even the mildest remark about you. Whatever. Enjoy the rest of the game.
  4. Nope. Pivetta was warming last inning and the radio guys said something about Whitlock warming while the Sox were at the plate.
  5. Just a700 showing his lawyer training. Form your argument and never, ever waver from it. That’s not a shot counselor; it is fine trait for a courtroom.
  6. He’s been damn good for well over a month, as in the last run he gave up was in August. Doesn’t mean it will work tonight, but it’s not an off the wall move.
  7. Did you think/say that in 78 on Bucky “Bleeping” Dent’s blast?
  8. Yankees shifted Torres just before that pitch. He was right up the middle the first couple pitches then moved him over about 15 feet towards first on that one. Plawecki hits that ball on the earlier ones it’s a base hit.
  9. I miss Australian Rules Football. I didn’t understand it very well, but it was great to watch.
  10. Ted Williams’ philosophy was look for a good pitch to hit and hit it; he was pretty successful with it. Verdugo got one but hit it hard in a bad spot.
  11. I’ve got the Sox radio broadcast synced up via Sirius XM and ESPN on silent; much more enjoyable. It’s a little behind, but it’s worth the delay.
  12. Well, thanks for confirming that you don’t actually watch the games. It explains much of your posting.
  13. I thought that initially as well, but they were highlighting the win or go home games, which did occur in 1949, 1978, 2003 and 2004.
  14. Sawamura and Hernandez on not on tonight's roster. They could and probably would be on a potential ALDS roster.
  15. That's what Cora said. His use of ERod and Pivetta in those spots said otherwise.
  16. Robles has pitched four straight high stress days; doubt he’s really available. Ditto Brasier.
  17. One thing of concern with using Pivetta to close this out; he often has first inning problems.
  18. Another run or 2 would be nice.
  19. Relax, it’s not do or die. Were you around for games 4 and 5 of the 2004 ALCS? Now those games were killers.
  20. Yesterday, the radio guys were talking about EKG machines, heart pills and tranquilizer guns. Maybe you should contact them?
  21. Interesting move with ERod; they said yesterday it’s his throw day so he could give an inning or two (if need be).
  22. Okay, now how do you piece together the next couple innings out of the pen? Perez for one more (pitcher is due up next inning)?
  23. The way this is going, take the nap.
  24. No matter what happens the rest of today, don’t feed the trolls.
  25. Exactly, he’s fine as your 4/5 guy (preferably 5). He’s been asked to fill the 3 slot for much of this year, which is above his pay grade
